Upgrow 5-in-1 USB C Hub Adapter with HDMI, SD, Micro SD, 2 USB 3.0 Ports for MacBook, iPad,Laptop and More Type C Devices

This hub does what I need and it looks good as well. It isn't really heavy, but feels substantial and of good quality. I needed something to be able to plug my brand new MacBook Air into the monitor and, though I also needed a Mini-Display port adapter to make that happen, this works very well and doesn't take up a lot of space. The PD is a necessity as the laptop has to be powered in order for it to work. I haven't used it extensively since I just received it (excuse the messy pic as I was testing), but it seems to cover all the bases. The nice part about it, unlike a larger dock, this is small enough to transport. I also like that it has an ethernet port. If I am doing a lot of work I prefer to be wired. All in all I am very satisfied.

I mainly bought this for the ethernet port, I recently bought an asus zenbook pro duo and it has hdmi out and two usb 3.0 ports, but no ethernet or sd card reader. Now with this plugged in I have ethernet, two hdmi outputs, 5 usb 3.0 ports, and a card reader and they all work flawlessly! The other options with ethernet are all at least $50 so this is a real bargain. It feels like it is very well made aluminum case, and has a nice weight to it. My only complaint is that the cord is a bit longer than I'd like, it makes the hub stick out past my laptop and adds to the clutter on my desk. The only thing I was not able to test is the usb c power pass through as my laptop does not charge via usb c.

I ordered this for new macbook pro 2020 with consideration of dongle type hub against 2 hard ports, which gives me flexibility to connect to windows pcs too. In addition, I was looking for ports which are not there in mcb pro - Ethernet, SD card reader, USBs & HDMI. This was perfect port combination and compact to fit in your bag. I tested it with Lenova PC to Monitor & then mac with Monitor & Plasma Samsung tv for HDMI. Worked perfectly - then I tested with one plus phone - charging was working - but HDMI was not working to TV. But from Samsung Galaxy S10 then it worked for HDMI to Samsung TV. So I guess my oneplus 6T may not be good to send HDMI over this hub to TV. Also same was observed for Samsung Galaxy A50 - HDMI was not working. I will check further, if I needed to install any drivers for these phones. But yes, this thing is really smart, slick and handy compact device - no power needed for this thing to run on it's own.

Let me first say that I am quite satisfied with this product for the primary purpose that led me to purchase it. It works quite well with my HP Elitebook, allowing me to charge and use USB devices, HDMI, and SD cards admirably. It is small, which is a bonus for travel and allows me to cut down on the number of different bricks and dongles that I have to tote when traveling. I had hoped that I could use it with a three foot USB C extender cable and it sort of works but for some reason I cannot fathom, my audio cuts out when I use it with the extended and comes back when I remove the extended - go figure. It would have been nice to not have to have the hub so close to the laptop, but I am guessing there is a reason why virtually ALL these hubs have a very short cable. THis was NOT in ANY way a deal-breaker. For the price, this thing is still a BARGAIN. I had also hoped to use it with my Fire HD 10 tablet to allow me to access USB devices and charge at the same time (which it does exceedingly well for the laptop). But when I plug this into the Fire and attach a USB power cable, the Fire goes nuts and says that it has detected "liquid in the USB port". From some searches I have done, it seems the Fire is known to be susceptible to this for certain hub chipsets, so this one seems to be one of those. Again, this is NOT a deal-breaker since that was just a bonus I had hoped to be able to use this for. I will be taking this on my first trip in about a month and will use it daily until then to build my confidence, but so far so good.

After a previous purchase of a different hub that refused to work with the new Chromecast. I was happy to find out this WORKS with the Chromecast with Google TV. I was able to use it to add a web camera (so I can use google duo) to video chat with my family during the pandemic. Added a USB memory stick to expand the memory of the Chromecast (so you have room to put more the 2 or 3 additional apps on it). Also has a ethernet hookup to have a direct connect to the internet for the Chromecast. This will work with the power supply that comes with the chromecast (but only to power the chromecast itself). You need to get a larger PSU to power the chromecast and the camera, USB stick...etc at the same time. With the aluminium case I have not had any heat dissipation issues with this unit. I would just make sure you have enough airflow around the unit (don't stick it in a drawer).

I have been looking at these docking hubs for a while and they can be more than $150. I needed the ability to extend my display and connect the power adapter through the hub. Most other hubs in this price range don't have those features but this particular one did. I figured you can't go wrong for the price. I ordered it and it arrived a day early. I lugged all of my devices into the hub and it works great. Plus it was super affordable. The quality of good. The design is slim and works well for me. Plus, I can just toss it in my bag and take it with me when I travel, which allows me to connect to other devices, ethernet and monitors on the go. This was definitely a good buy.

I bought this as I had to return a different adapter (not this brand) as it stopped working. Very happy with the quality of the materials and compactness. Works perfectly too and has more ports than the competitor I returned. I'll stick with this brand in future.

La construction es superior, carcasa de aluminio super duradera. Tiene los puertos suficientes para realizar las operaciones que necesito. No hace falta instalar absolutamente nada, solo se conecta y se puede utilizar inmediatamente. La longitud del cable desde el HUB hasta el conector es ideal, no es super largo que se te enrede con temas cosas en tu escritorio y no esta pegado a la computadora, dándote comodidad para conectar y desconectar memorias/tarjetas fácilmente y sin batallar. Lei las demás reseñas y muchas dicen que el producto falla, pero hasta el momento me ha funcionado perfectamente bien, la lectura/escritura de datos no solo depende del hub, también la computadora tiene mucho que ver, solo expreso mi opinion en esto. DEFINITIVAMENTE recomiendo este producto.

Top notch quality, the design of this product is very subtle. Bought it for my laptop, its perfect. Works well, extremely happy with the purchase. Its solid and gives no issue at all with videos, audio etc., with just one adapter I can hook my laptop to external devices like mouse. GREAT :)

It connects and disconnects the phone/usb stick every second. Very bad.

Funciona a la perfección, llevo dos semanas usándolo diario con mi Macbook Air y siven perfecto cada uno de los puertos, los que mas uso es el HDMI todo el tiempo y el de USBC al momento de cargar mi mac mientras uso el monitor. En ningún momento he tenido ningún problema, y de igual forma es compatible con mi Wacom, la cual conecto en los puertos USB 3.0 para tomar mis notas de la universidad. Estoy muy agradecido con que funcionara, ya que en el pasado he probado con distintos adaptadores y se calentaban aun mas que este y fallaban al cargar la compu mientras la usaba. En este adaptador, te olvidas de estos problemas. It works perfectly, I have been using it daily with my Macbook Air for two weeks and each of the ports are perfect, the ones I use the most is HDMI all the time and USBC when charging my mac while using the monitor. At no time have I had any problems, and it is also compatible with my Wacom, which I plug into the USB 3.0 ports to take my college notes. I am very grateful that it worked, since in the past I have tried different adapters and they got even hotter than this one and failed to charge the computer while using it. In this adapter, you forget about these problems.
