Yes the TX100E will operate a 2 wire baseboard hot water heating system. Use the Rh & W terminals to complete the heating circuit. LUX Technical Support

Can I program just to run only one day?

Yes the TX100E can be programmed to run one day out of 7 when set up for a 7 day program. Minimum room temperature is 45 degrees F, maximum room temperature is 90 degrees F. LUX TEchnical Support
