Plug-and-play and works perfectly. I bought the Amazon Basics USB 3.0 to 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet adapter to get a stable wired connection on my laptop, and it delivered straight away. No driver issues — just plugged it in and it worked instantly. Speeds are solid and consistent, much better than WiFi for downloads and video calls. The build quality feels sturdy for the price, and it’s compact enough to carry around easily. Great value for money and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Would definitely recommend.

Simple & Fast!!! Truly 'Plug & Play'. When doing this, try to have CAT6 Ethernet cabling as a minimum. Cat5 is okay but for faster speeds & home use, CAT6 or CAT6A is more than ample....This Adapter worked immediately, no messing around. Plugged into Netgear Switching along with another computer and internet was immediate, no programming, no delay, just instant!

Had to grab one of these because the motherboard ethernet. Port died. Now. Unfortunately I had to go back to 1 GIG Connection to from a 2.5. But it still got me connected. Works well. Stable. Not sure why people say it doesn't work, but anyway. It was well worth the money. And it keeps me in business. And in my writing.

Since many newer laptops or desktops don't even have ethernet ports any more, this is a must have. I ran into some issues where I need ethernet access to my laptop. It sucked the first time when I needed one and didn't have one. This one comes at great value, works well, plug and play and keep on working.

Very hard to remove the cord with tab pressed in as you try to remove. I bought these to replace a broken one from another company. I have to change my cords often. It is actually a fight to get the cord out. Don't want to pull on it and break it but come on the snaps should not be permanent. I guess the were overly concerned with accidental pull outs but I really can not seem to get these out without a struggle. The usb side works as expected. It does the job which is why 4 stars. Just wish they were easier to separate from the cable when needed.

Use my laptop to diagnose and maintain our vehicles and tractor, garage is too far from our WiFi router, I decided to use the Ethernet cable that is in our walls. Unfortunately my laptop is USB 3.0 only, this adapter saved me from buying a new laptop or an ethernet card. Great product, good price and it works perfectly.

I needed a second ethernet port on my laptop for a special project. This scratched that itch. Works OK.

Compré este adaptador para jugar smash online en Nintendo Switch. Ojo que si planeas usarlo para lo mismo, necesitas la version usb 3.0 (o es 3.1? no estoy seguro). Al momento de la compra, seleccioné el modelo "Talla 0". El usb 2.0 es mas barato, pero leyendo otros reviews, parece que esa version no sirve con el Switch. En cuando a la unidad, se ve siente de buena calidad. El cable esta algo corto. Cable de red se vende por separado. Para configurarlo con el Switch, solo conecta la unidad al dock del switch, y el cable de red a la unidad. Es todo, el switch se conecta usando la red alámbrica por defecto. Si quieres confirmar, en el dashboard, le das en configuración > red. Puedes ver el estado actual y probar la conexión. Ya en el Smash, si tengo uno que otra pelea con lag, pero no tan seguido. Si recomendaría invertir en el adaptador.

Seems to be well made, plug and play function, no drivers needed, seems to work well and speedily on my home PC to Router wired connection, as the LAN port of PC has gone faulty, cheaper than buying an internal PCI card or having PC repaired, and apart from it taking up a Rear PC USB port I'm very happy with the performance, would recommend it to replace or add an extra LAN connection to an older PC.
