This is one example of many products that people mistaken and think Amazon has the best price. If you want to save money do your homework. Check the manufacturer website. Usually you'll find a better price than Amazon. Specially for electronics. Remember this are sellers that are selling products thru Amazon. The statement previously is true. Valentine website sells them for $499. They are currently on backorder until March 2022.

The seller now is actually trying to charge $1500 for it. You can get it for $499 on Valentine One's website and be able to have the factory warranty

Hi with the new v1gen2 will it work well in new zealand

Hi yes only buy from Valentine1 Gen 2 I have both plus the new Uniden R8 I will match my Valentine 1 Gen 2 against any radar detector it has Bluetooth you can hide it on your phone. I have picked up state trooper around 2 miles out straight on the highway. It has never let me down plus it hardly goes off. Plus you can update it from your driveway if you have internet. Love it better than the Uniden R8. Don’t get me wrong I love the Uniden R8 to I think if you set it up right wish it had Bluetooth so it makes it easier to setup.
