This is an outstanding kit for the price. I have returned to model aircraft after some 20 years and honestly i am blown away by the improvements in the kit quality provided by airfix. Their new moulds are crisp well detailed and very easy to put together. airfix have completely turned it around from the boxes of flash and misaligned mouldings of my childhood. Ive included pictures of my first build of this kit, I have done some modifications like making the seatbelts out of kitchen foil and using filler on all the seams. The filler is not all that necessary if im honest the kit has very good fit and i only used it to avoid having seems show up when i applied a wash. I also painted it entirely with cheap artist oil paints and varnished with cheap wood polyurethane varnish. Even at the £6.99 rrp this kit is a bargain but at the current price of £4.18 im buying 3 more to make a diorama. Congratulations to airfix i quit models as a kid but come back as an adult thanks to absolutely astounding turnaround in quality. *As a note the negative reviews seem to primarily be a result of people who dont understand that paint and glue are not included in model kits as an industry standard. If you need some paint and glue i would recommend getting one of the gift sets that show the inclusion of paint and glue they are good value and are a great way to find out if the hobby is for you

(No glue or paint is included in this kit) This is a great little kit from Airfix to make a Mk 1 Hurricane from the very early days of WW2. It is easy to assemble. The kit does have some alternative parts a two or three bladed propeller, different tail sections and few other parts so if you know what you are doing maybe you could make an alternative version but the supplied instructions, paint scheme and decals are for the early Mk 1 only. I brush painted mine using some paints I had left over from an Airfix starter set. I also used the pilot although he is not super detailed I felt he added more detail to what is a rather bland cockpit, if you do use him you may have to chop his feet off to get him to fit, I did. For the enjoyment and time spent I think this little kit is worth the money. I did a search and this aircraft or one with the same numbers is on show at Tangmere aircraft museum along with many other interesting aircraft.

My autistic friend was thrilled to receive this. He loves creating things and was overjoyed when he came to assembling this. It kept him occupied for a while and then when finished, loved to put it on a stand to display it. A really good buy.

Ok I confess I am no longer in the first flush of youth but I used to be obsessed with making these kits and have returned to it recently. This kit is a relatively recent re tooling and has a pleasing amount of extra details in the cockpit and undercarriage wells but because of this it can be rather fiddly in parts. It could still be made by the younger modeller but I would then recommend simplifying the cockpit as if you add the hood in the closed position you won’t see much detail anyway and by choosing the ‘undercarriage retracted’ option the fiddly bits can also be left out. For the rest of us enjoy the detail ( and if you’re my age get out the magnifying glasses out )

Good little plane to glue

Like all my other reviews, I first look for Airfix knowing that I will receive quality. Haven't been disappointed yet in Airfix kits. Tried cheaper ones in the past and not impressed. Good quality at a reasonable price.

It's a great model, pieces fit nicely but it's a little too small for my big fingers. Would go with a bigger scale next time.

Product is good and it is yet to arrive. So awaiting the package. Once I receive them only I will be able to provide genuine feedback.

Kit built nice. There are some fiddly bits (cockpit, landing gear), but worth the effort. Quite a bit of nice detail for a 1/72 fighter kit. Decals were a treat to use (as it tends to be with Airfix kits).
