Gildan Adult Reusable Self-Care Mask with Ear Loops

Two things about these. First, they are extremely soft, and fit over my average face (but with Jay Leno chin) easily, from top of nose to well under the chin. One of the only ones I've worn that don't either slip off constantly or bunch up in my mouth when I try to talk. Not "comfortable", but easily the most bearable mask I've found so far. Second, I'm pretty fanatical about using these once and then cleaning them. These are easy to sanitize with some soap and disinfecting bleach due to their color and material...leave them to dry hanging in the sunlight for a few hours (so they don't shrink), and you're good to go. I realize the CDC says you can just "wash your mask with your regular laundry". It's a little amusing to me that something ostensibly being utilized as life-saving PPE during a deadly viral pandemic can just be tossed in with my socks and undies afterward. This pack lets me change them out frequently and sanitize them regularly, at a cheap cost and without adding disposables to the landfill. Regardless of your beliefs on its efficacy, at least my mask won't have bacteria on it from hanging off my rearview mirror for weeks.

When this whole pandemic started, I bought masks. I felt it would go on for quiet a while, but also felt my level of exposure in most places was low. At work (ambulance) we were given 1 N-95 mask, supposed to keep it in a paper bag for reuse, asked to wear a cloth over it to keep it cleaner. Outside of work, I wanted something that would give a bit of protection for me, or the people around me, but also wanted something comfortable. I tried many different shapes, designs, and finally found these. We keep them in a bag hanging on door. When we leave the house, you grab a clean one. When you get home, you throw it into the washing machine. Next time we do laundry, they get washed and put back by the door. And the system works. I am not going to say they are comfortable, or soft or anything like that, I hate masks. Comfortable is no mask. But these are large enough that you can talk without it falling off your nose (you are not always readjusting), they do pull tight on my face, my ears stick out a bit, but I am breathing through the mask, not around it. It is 3 layers, so should give some level of protection for most encounters. They are reusable, not disposable, less waste going into landfills, but inexpensive enough that when the elastic breaks, or something, you don't worry about getting rid of it. I think we have now bought 3 packs and when my son left for school we sent him with a full pack for use there. Until the day comes when we don't need them anymore, this is my mask of choice.

These came quick and were what I was expecting. They are a double layered mask. There is no place for a filter but that’s ok. I will say the do not fit my face completely but they do the job decent enough. They fit my 10 year old perfect. There is no nose piece to help with it not fogging up my glasses and they are pretty warm. It was a good amount of masks for the price.

Comfortable

Update after 4 10 hour shifts. There seem to be inconsistencies in the masks I have worn. From the size of the actual mask, and the length and orientation of the elastic ear loops. Small variations but noticeable differences while wearing it for an extended period of time. Also once the inner layer gets any kind of moisture, be it sweat or saliva from speaking it begins to cling and retain heat even more becoming uncomfortable. I have now gone to changing out masks once or twice during my shift to circumvent that problem. Update after 1 10 hour shift in a manufacturing plant. After wearing for an hour the fabric began to stretch. This caused the inner layer to cling to my nostrils as I inhaled. The elastic let up a touch but not much. Began to feel like a paper mask by the end of my shift. Maybe after a few wash and repeat cycles it will feel a bit better Purchased by a 36 y/o male. With facial hair. Purchased these hoping to find a good alternative to wearing the standard paper mask at work for 8-10 hours a day. Although I appreciate the snug fit against my face, the elastic is too short causing it to pull on my ears something fierce. The feel is nice. Breathes about the same as a paper mask, seems to funnel the air out into your eyes more directly though. Doesn't give me a scratchy feeling with my beard/stubble. The fit again is snug enough to where I don't require a nose piece for them to form to my face. They actually are better than some of the paper masks that have the moldable nose piece. The only downside for me again would be the elastic, which is difficult to gage being a 1 size fits most product. Most of the masks I received have twists in the elastic making them uncomfortable to wear.

If you gotta beard this is for you. I have a 5 inch beard and this works well. The fit is very comfortable. Breathes easy in my thoughts. I am a nigh stocker for a grocery store HEB. HEB maintains a mask policy. I wear this all 10 hours on average minus the lunch breaks. The ears are a bit tight at first, but you can stretch them one time and it loosens up perfectly to where you are very comfortable. I did was them and found them to shrink just a tad. I just stretched it out a bit and back to a great fit. It's double sided, so you get more protection then a single layer of cloth. As I stated I am a stocker at a grocery chain. This is heavy breathing with speed, lifting and walking fast during the 8 plus hours.

Great quality masks for the price! They're really comfortable on the face and feel fitted. The ear straps are from elastic strips so they're durable but also less comfy than the ones with string. There are no pockets for filters and no nose strips, but it's ok - I felt that it was easier to breathe in this mask versus something like the Old Navy ones.

Compare: Gildan mask – used twice and hand washed 3x. Blue mask – have been using this 4x a week since April. Hand washed after use. Findings on this Gildan mask: - cotton fabric sheds some lint. Be careful if washing with other clothes. In the future, I hope Gildan will use a different fabric which hardly shed at all. My blue mask does not have this problem. - sewing quality is very good. - out of shape after 2 washings. Not obvious though when worn. - compared to my blue mask which is 2 layered, this 3 layered Gildan takes a bit longer to dry. - I find the elastic band earloop comfortable. Both masks have the same band length. - price is very reasonable. Overall, I am quite happy with this purchase.

These are great. I bought them to hand out to my staff, good value. One of the ear loops broke right away, but they were so affordable I'm not concerned, we just quickly stitched it back together. My only concern would be that they might be a bit large for a smaller face.
