Educational and fun!
Got this for my child, but my husband seems to be enjoying it more! You can build simple or more complicated structures to cater to different ages and to demonstrate different concepts. Only negative things are that we feel the need to get more magnetic parts (feels like we need to supplement since there's a lot of chutes vs. magnetic tiles) and, as others have mentioned, it's not easy to connect the non-magnetic parts (e.g. magnetic tiles to the chutes) so a young child would not be able to build it up on their own. Of course, they can play with the magnetic tiles on their own - they are so versatile, we used them to build shapes (cubes, pyramids), houses, etc. A nice addition to other types of open-ended toys like blocks! The magnets are strong, though. So young children may accidentally get their skin caught between the tiles. My child had great fun having the balls 'compete' with each other on similar runs! Would love to know if there was any way to replace the batteries in the 3 balls that are able to light up as my other child is too young to play with these now. It's also a great quiet-time toy to let your older child play with if you have to be away with your baby and need the place to be relatively quiet. All in all, a great purchase. No regrets at all!

My kids love this toy!
This toy is so much fun! Although described as "magnetic tiles" it is so much more than just that. It also contains several ball track pipe pieces that can snap into the tiles so you can make a large marble run! Our 8-yr old enjoys designing the track and assembling the pieces, while our 3-yr olds love it when they roll a marble through all the twists and turns. We also like the fact that the marbles are larger than normal, about an inch in diameter. Much safer than the typical small glass marbles in most sets. We also like that the pieces are sturdy and made to last.

Fun for older kids but can be frustrating.
Is all about expectations, what is realistic for kids at given age, and what you are looking for kids to learn. The tiles themselves are sturdy but looking the pictures, I wasn't expecting our 7 years old son, who has played with plenty of magnetic tile toys at home and at school, to be able assemble them all by himself from the get go. He was definitely frustrated and upset that things kept falling apart at first. And these things are pretty unforgiving. I mean you see some of the pictures with tiles in a long/tall vertical line and I think is unrealistic to expect kids to just know that some extra support is needed during the construction phase especially when even as an adult, things fell on me pretty easily. In the end, I am glad our son learned some patience and is accepting things will fall and he just have to try again. One thing I that could be improved is the "instructions" on how to build the examples are almost non-existent (just a couple pictures from different angles of the completed build).

Fun Concept, Magnets Could be stronger
The theory is great, however setting up the tracks usually takes 2 people to help balance out the pieces. Definitely an “adult help constantly required” toy. I also feel the magnets are not as strong as some of the other brands we have. Which is likely why you need 2 people to put a track together.

The best addition to our magnet set!
My whole family loves these! These were bought as an addition to the set of tiles we already loved. They fit perfectly and have been fun for both the youngest and oldest of us. They are a bit tricky to use which I love because it uses your brain. The colors are bright and there was enough to make a good sized contraptions. We plan to get more.
