Curt is a Quality Brand
Curt is a good quality brand, I’ve purchased other products from their line.. It installs pretty easily and suits our needs. It’s a reliable, trustworthy brand. Very happy with this hitch.

Perfect fit! No problems
I recently installed the hitch on my 2016 Transit cargo 250. I had read several "horror" reviews about owners having troubles with the self-tapping bolts. So, at the time of purchasing the hitch, I also bought me a tap, which is widely documented as an M12-1.75 tap. Please remember that you are cutting through the metal frame of the vehicle, so just using the bolts with a wrench or socket may not or will not be sufficient. Even the manufacturer's installation instructions read: "Note: using a tap may ease installation." So, by using the tap, a ratchet, and dry lube spray, I cut the threads for the 4 mounting bolts in less than 15 minutes. I then placed the 2 carriage bolts with spacers in the frame rail holes (I didn't even need the supplied fishwire as the holes are within reach). Then, I set the hitch on the floor over the cardboard box it came in, and placed it directly below to where it was to be bolted on. I raised one side of the hitch up and allowed the carriage bolt to go through the hitch hole and threaded the supplied nut a few turns. On the same side, I threaded the two self-tapping bolts. I then raised the other side of the hitch up and did the same. I finally torqued all the bolts to specifications. The exhaust pipe stands a little bit on the way to tighten one of the carriage bolt nuts, but I just pushed the pipe out of the way so I could use a ratchet extension. Although I didn't time myself, the complete installation, including tapping, was about an hour or so. I am very happy with the ease of installation, the finish quality and built of the hitch, and all the supplied hardware. I highly recommend this product! But again, save yourself some frustration and purchase a tap.

Important info they left out
As long as you have a good 1/2 drive socket set, this will be easy to install. Let me point out a few things, I am not a fan of having self-threading screws holding the hitch on, but sadly they are all like that for the Ford Transit vans. More poor engineering from Ford. Now for an important issue that I did not see in any info or any videos about installation, there was a hoop that I suppose was used for tying down the vehicle during transport on the rear passenger side. One of the bolts holding it on was in a hole that the hitch would use. I figured that hole was already threaded since it had a bolt in it, and I would just use the new bolts that came with the hitch. WARNING, the factory bolt that is in that hole is not the same threads as those that came with the hitch. I ended up putting that factory bolt back in that hole instead of trying to use the bolt that came with the hitch and possibly rounding out the hole.

Fit, but bolts are garbage
Buy better bolts, rest of it is fine. Came in solid box, any dents, scratches.

Fit on 17 transit 250
Fit good no issues. Make sure if you want to install it on a ford transit you get a 12x1.75 tap for the frame.

Heavy duty – easy installation!
My van has a lot of miles on it, so I didn’t want to give U-Haul $583 to install one. We bought this. It is amazing!! Very heavy duty. High-quality. 15 minute installation tops!

Easier To Install Than It Looks
This hitch came with great illustrated instructions and included all the hardware needed to install this hitch. It comes with fishing cables to fish 2 bolts in place but I didn't use them. I used 2 jack stands to hold up the hitch so I could get the bolts in place. Very pleased with this purchase and install for my Ford Transit-250.
