Oooo how I've wanted something like this
I love it. It's fast responsive easy to read. If I had any complaints ktiwould be that maybe there should have the ability set it for the meat that your making so that one it hits the desired temp it stops there and maybe makes a sound. Other than that I love it

Is not 'built to last'
We really liked the thermometer, and it worked well for 14 months. Then the display showed dashes...replaced battery, but the thermometer did not respond. Tried another battery with the same results. The description indicates satifaction garanteed by Amazon, but their return policy is for items up to 12 months. Would discourage buying this model, as other customers have had the same problem.

I bought 2 in February 2016. One continues to ...
I bought 2 in February 2016. One continues to work well. One died after 2 months. I'm going to replace it with a different model.

Closure breaks too easily
Thermometer works fine but it's big and bulky and even more so when the catch for the fold-in probe breaks and it just pops open and turns on of its own accord and runs its batteries down. I returned it when this happens.
