Excellent Product that worked great for my application.
My situation may be a little bit unique but this Smof Ground Loop Noise Isolator is an absolute godsend. This completely eliminated all alternator noise I was getting through my car stereo. I own a 2005 Subaru Outback which didn't come with an aux in port and didn't have an easy way to add one. I considered replacing the stereo with an aftermarket unit until I found out the climate controls were integrated into the stereo and would cost a minimum of $250 just for aftermarket climate controls. I tried a few different FM modulators but struggled to find a station that consistently worked on my drive to and from work. As a last resort I found instructions online on how to hack my factory stereo and install my own aux port inline with the FM tuner. With nothing plugged into the port my FM radio plays; with a cable plugged in it plays from there. I spend a day modding the stereo and everything sounded fantastic while testing in my driveway. Later that day I started the car up and got my phone all hooked up only to be greeted by a horrible alternator whine screaming over my speakers every time I hit the gas. That is where the Smof Ground Loop Noise Isolator comes into play. I searched Amazon and based on the good reviews and price of the Smof I decided to give it a try. From the moment I plugged it in it has provided crystal clear audio. I now pair my phone to a bluetooth adapter which runs to the Smof then to my modded aux port. I have enjoyed hundreds of hours of audio books and music. The music playing from my phone through this setup provides significantly better audio quality than FM radio or CD. I could not be happier with this product and I'm so glad I decided to purchase it.

Works perfectly
Ever since starting to use an Amazon Alexa car device for hand-free phone calls, I've been putting up with a high-pitched whine from my car's speakers. The whine would go up in pitch when accelerating, drop when decelerating, and isn't present when using the radio. Digging around on the internet, I found that it's caused by ground loop noise; ground loop is created b/c the device has to be connected both to the Aux input and the "cigarette lighter" adapter for power in order to work, thereby double grounding it. Bought this device, plugged it into the aux port, plugged the Alexa's aux cord into the device, voila! no more pesky noise.

Removed monitor's static noise completely!
This noise isolator has worked its magic on making sure that I no longer hear the loud static noise that comes out of my monitor. When I first bought my monitor, I thought that I can enjoy watching movies/shows on it as an alternative to my TV, but the audio quality disappointed me. I didn't know how to fix this issue until I discovered this product while exploring possible solutions for this issue. I'm very glad that I bought this product because it has completely changed my audio experience with my monitor. It is worth every penny and will not disappoint you in terms of installation, usage, and functionality.

Good solution for noisy PC audio
I recently built a new gaming/music production PC. I route the output of my soundcard to a mixer and then into a power amplifier. It seems like there is some kind of ground loop that injects noise caused by my graphics card into the sound output, especially when gaming. This unit greatly (but not completely) reduces the noise when not gaming, e.g., when listening to music, and reduces it enough that I can play games without using headphones. I detect no problems with the sound quality at any frequency. Also, changing the volume on my PC or on the mixer does not change the amount of noise I hear, unlike when I am not using the unit. The only nit is that the 3.5mm stereo cable included isn't the highest quality (and may be the source of the residual noise) and required some jiggering to make a stereo connection. Still, well worth the price.

No effect.
I have an Apex brand TV and a set of Sylvania brand speakers, both quite old. When I tried plugging the speakers into the TV's headphone jack, and used an A/V or HDMI device (such as a Nintendo Switch), the speakers started emitting a very angry "BRRRRR" sound (through which all other sounds came through). This has been the case with this TV and other sound devices connecting to it (such as headphones) since the beginning. The speakers do not do this if plugged into something else (such as said Nintendo Switch). Someone recommended this item to me to fix the problem. As is always the case for me, this did nothing whatsoever to help. The speakers acted like nothing was different. The angry drone wasn't even slightly reduced in volume. So there goes that money, used on a 6" extension cord as far as I'm concerned.

This darn thing WORKS! Now I'm HUMLESS!
Just began feeding my fire scanner radio on-line and noticed a background hum. Began troubleshooting and then heard about the Smof Ground Loop isolator. Ordered it ... received it ... installed it ... HUM GONE. I then ordered another one and installed it in my recording studio which was always experiencing a hum between the sound mixing board and the sound card. As you can see from the photo, troubleshooting each and every piece of equipment would have taken quite some time. Installed the Smof and the darn thing worked!!! I'm now 'humless.'

Do you hate static? Do you also hate bass?
It works I suppose. I didn't have a lot of noise. It was only noticeable when I had the volume turned up and nothing playing. This cut the noise down pretty well but it also killed all bass and turned it into a muddy mess. I never REALLY understood the phrase "muddy bass" until this thing. It legitimately makes it sound like I'm listening to a speaker that is face down in mud. Unless your static is REALLY bad I wouldn't bother with this thing. Ruins the quality too much to be worth it. I'd rather keep turning my volume back down when nothing is playing.

Fab module for static noise
This is a must have device for static build up if you're connecting, say, your car play to the AUX of your car sound system, which is exactly why I bought it. It utterly muffles any static noise transmitted through to the speakers. I hit the mark, total bullseye. Buy it, you can't go wrong for the price and the function.

Great for feeding your PC headphone signal to another device
I do a lot of online music and I often need to play a piece of music on my PC to other users of Jamulus. Unfortunately, software such as Jamulus pretty much hijack one's audio signals so that one cannot route it to an interface so as to share it on the Internet. The solution is to take the analog headphone output of the PC and feed it into the interface (or first to a mixer and then to the interface - which is what I do). The problem is that those headphone signals are prone to a lot of interference and pops an crackles and noise. A lot of this comes from interference generated in the computer. This little device is the perfect solution. Just plug it between your headphone output and whatever device you are feeding the signal to, and all noise is cleaned up.

Funktioniert wie beschrieben. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
