RAV315 Replacement Remote Control for Yamaha Audio Video Receiver

Remote control is an inexpensive replacement for original equipment an appears to be fully functional.

Looks near identical minus some interesting spelling errors and lack of a Yamaha logo. Most of the Menu/Source/Program switching works fine. Volume works fine. Standby/Power is a crapshoot. Menu is accessible and navigable. Power/Standby is sketchy at best. Can turn on system, but can't use Off/Standby. Not bad for the price but not great, either. I give it a solid "meh".

I purchased this to replace a remote that is no longer available for my Yamaha AV system. I inserted new batteries (no batteries included) and the remote worked immediately. No need to do anything to sync with my receiver. I would buy this again if needed.

This remote works for my receiver. I did have to change its program code from the default Yamaha code to another of the Yamaha codes to make the arrow buttons work correctly for the OSD. Instructions DO NOT come with the remote. I had to search online for the remote instructions, but when I finally found them, I was able to change the code and get the functionality I needed to work my receiver. Would have rated four starts, but a user shouldn't have to search for instructions to use a purchased item.

Some of the button functions did not allow me to change some of the settings on my receiver, but overall I'm satisfied with what I can do. A decent replacement remote....

Does not give full functionality of the receiver. Only volume/mute/device selection work you can’t navigate the setup menus.

It works with HTR 5890 receiver, most of the functions works, first time using this receceiver/ remote so will learn how to use it

Bought this to use with my Yamaha HTR-5850 but unfortunately didn't work. Looks and felt like good quality though. My original remote was RAV254, so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.
