Individual books have additional material such as scale drawings and some have 3D content (as does this particular edition) complete with glasses for viewing them. Superb for both content artwork and general appearance, these books bring the subject vehicle back to life in all their magnificent detail. Great for modeling, general information or simple viewing. Very pleased with the product and content. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Not the series' best... *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2016* This is the 37th book in Kagero's generally excellent Super Drawings in 3D series. Like others in the series it is an 8-1/4" x 11-3/4"stapled card cover. There are 76 interior pages although Kagero counts the card covers in the page numbering for reasons that remain obscure. The unbound foldouts with conventional line drawings seem to have been dropped from this series. the only unbound enclosure are the 3D classes for the 3D anaglyphs.Pre-WWII ships are always welcome. However, for whatever reason, this book is not quite up to the standards of others in the series. The text was extremely brief, just a few paragraphs devoted to the service history spread over two pages and a data table. The drawings proper cover 59 pages but there were a few places where they didn't ring true to me. For example both the fore and after rangefinders are completely devoid of any eyepieces leaving the reader to wonder how they were used. I also had a problem with the depiction of the fore 5.2 cm mountings. The amount of space seems improbably small to work the gun. The after 5.2 cm mountings were even worse. They looked like they are fixed firing directly aft with no obvious way to train the gun. And the manner the davits were depicted connected to the boats did not seem very robust. I got the impression the artist was "winging" it in a few places.There are also a few things that were missing. There are no hints of torpedo tubes in the views of the hull. These may have been removed at some point but that should have been mentioned. And then there are the woefully inadequate captions that leave the reader wondering about a few items. There are two fixtures on the open bridge, one on each side at the rear, with three hand wheels each. What are they? Telegraphs of some sort? And it would have been nice to have a closeup of the crest that appears on both sides of the bow.There are 16 pages of 3D anaglyphs.
