will the XL fit a 6' 5" tall guy?

I am sorry but I cannot definitively answer your question, I purchased a large pair but I am only 5'7" with rather slender hands and the fit is snug but not tight.  My hand spans (Thumb to baby finger is 9" and tip of middle finger to wrist is 8."  There is a saving grace to all this in that if they don't fit Amazon has a terrific returns policy unparalleled. Question 2

is the sizing true to size...my dad has large hands so usually an xl but some reviews on this size says the xl is small

These gloves are not true to size at all. I normally wear a large but I read that these run a bit small so I ordered XL to be safe. I just received them today and can barely get them on because they are so tight. Hopefully they'll stretch some with time. They do appear to be well made and they do allow some touchscreen function.

Question 3

Why are xl gloves labled xxl?? i know customers are not the ones to ask, but i want this to show up. rediculously small.

Ordered large, could hardly get my hand in, sent them back for X-large, can get my hands in but they are still snug, hoping they will stretch a little with wear.  Love them, nice leather and insides soft.  Have not worn them in cold weather yet, if I'm lucky, it will be warm all winter, supposed to be in low 40s tonight, not glove weather yet.

Question 4

How true to the provided size chart do these gloves run? According to the size chart I should get xl but a lot of reviews are saying to size up.

Get one size up. I got both the large and XL for my husband, he could get the large on his hands but they were too tight to move his fingers and utilize his hands freely. He normally wears a large in gloves, so what everyone is saying appears to be true - they run small.
