The Sodastream bottles will not. **Q: Is this actually better for carbonating juice vs. water only models- sodastream, kitchenaid, etc? if so, how / what's the mechanical difference?** A: The difference in drinkmate and other models is that when you carbonate your juices you can easily rinse the nozzle off. Sodastream and other machines have the nozzle for the 02 attached tp the machine so you can't rinse them off that's why you have to carbonate the water and then add the syrup to it. I have used mine for flat sodas and I also make carbonated tea all the time. Love this machine. **Q: With regards to the CO2 canisters, is it possible to refill yourself without buying and resending empty cartridges?** A: Yes, I do it all the time. You need a 5lb or larger CO2 tank and an adapter (you can search Amazon for "soda stream adapter"). Ideally you should get a CO2 tank with a siphon tube, but you can also hold your CO2 tank upside-down when you refill the soda stream CO2 tanks. Otherwise, you'll likely only get about 3-4oz of CO2 in your soda stream tank. **Q: Can it use bigger carbonators? Such as the 120/130L that I see available in retail locations?** A: Drinkmate accepts a standard 14.5oz (60L) cylinder on market, but NOT 130L.
