Would the Youth size fit a small adult head? All of the regular sized caps are too large for me, even the "small/medium" sizes.

I am an adult and always have to buy youth hats :-)

My son wears a 7 1/4 hat- would this correlate to a small/med or med/large?

I also wear a 7 1/4 and purchased the med/large. Not too tight, not too lose! I wear it more than my fitted new era "on field" hats! It has a nice curve to the bill in which I love~!

will l/xl fit head size 8?

I want to say yes. I wore a 7 5/8 and there was room for when my hair grew out. I purchased this hat years ago, so I cannot attest to recent manufacturing standards, but it was a great and super comfy hat. So much so that someone stole it, lol. I hope it is doing them as well as it did me.

I have been trying to find a cap without the usual velcro, button or snap back for some time now. Until now I have struggled to get that perfect match of fit, colour and quality. This cap is all of these things. I wear my hair short and not having the 'poneytail' gap at the back of the cap makes it fit so much better. The size guide gave me a perfect fit and the construction is top notch. The stitching is neat and fine, the front face of the cap is sturdy with a sleek finish that makes it feel solid rather than like a bunch of pieces sewn together. You pay a premium for these caps and the NFL is not something I have the faintest idea about but by choosing a rather generic C cap 99% of people in the UK just think it is a nice cap with a generic symbol. You get what you pay for, this is a top quality hat which will last for years.
