Body Powder for Men - Original Formula

This talcum powder for Men has a distinctiveness similar to the fragrances of India: there is a high note of floral scents, a middle note that soothes the body like a selected cologne by Hermès, and bass notes from the wear on the clothing 'cloyishly sweeter' than that of sandalwoods but, musky. Overall, it mixes well with an unscented deodorant and the soap fragrances used when bathing or showering after the gym. Reminding one of fragrant Indian spices while browsing an open air market or comstocks in a store. Very generously evoking what middle classed men to businessmen would enjoy sporting this fragrance day-to-day in New Delhi or Goa evening and night. Reasonably fashionable and nicely priced the maker for this brand appears to be a classic from centuries ago. Perhaps an 18th century mix. The sealant on its top keeps the powder fresher and seals the container very well for transport in a backpack. No muss or fuss. And great after-work, and working out to relaxing with a long steam in the hammam!

I bought this for my husband to try out and he loves it. I like the smell of Balla a million times more than baby powder. I asked him for his personal review and this is what he had to say: "This product is AWESOME. It lasts all day, even after a long hard days work. My balls stay fresh all day, and never stick to the sides of my legs. Bat wings is something you never have to worry about with this stuff. Your lady ever complain about you not being fresh? Slap some of this stuff on, and invite her to take a whiff of your man junk. If she doesn't say, "ooh, fresh!", then clearly she has no sense of smell. Works better than medicated powders, and doesn't give that uncomfortable tingly sensation. And unlike regular baby powder, you won't smell like an infant when you use it. Highly recommend this for anyone who works outside in the summer, or sweats a lot for their profession!"

Ok, I never had "bat wings". Never ever knew what they were, but not I will definitely not have them. I received the original scent in a travel size as a promotional item. I looked at the package and laughed, but I tried it. Now I am a true believer. I use this every day. In fact, I have it on right now. For Christmas I gave out a few of these at a get together. (Great cheap gift!) Everyone laughed. Then maybe a week later I was thanked several times over. As to the product. Well, talc is talc. Maybe I am ignorant but I don't see powers varying too much in effectiveness. This is the only one that I have tried. But I have smelled others. I won't use em! This one smells great, manly but sophisticated. In summary: Not only do I love it and wear it every day, but everyone I have given it to says the same. (Who wouldn't appreciate staying and smelling fresh down there all day long.) BTW, the "bat wings" reference comes from the back of the product. It has to do with part of your anatomy being stuck to your leg. (yes I had to look this up.)

Good Stuff. I have never used talc before, so I have nothing to compare it to but, it works great! Smells really good too. Keeps the boys and groin area dry all day and night. I also use it on my under arms and it works better and last longer than my under arm deodorant. I really love the scent of this stuff. It's kind of expensive but, it seems like it will probably last 5-6 months, maybe longer. I will be buying it again.

It's basically talc. Nice texture and smell. Doesn't come out of the container easily. There are several small holes around the edge of the top of the container. Seems to me a few holes away from the edge may make it easier for the powder to come out, especially when it's near empty. I think a lot of the price goes towards the name and appearance of the container. It's just talc.

I'm giving this four stars simply because of the price point - I think it's a bit expensive, HOWEVER, the product itself is worth five stars. It's a simple product, just talac powder (like Goldbond) but it works wonderfully. It comes out in a powder form (but unlike say baby powder, it takes a few shakes to get the desired amount which is good considering you don't have a mountain of powder in your hand) and you simply put it wherever you want to keep dry on your body (under arms, etc). Many guys get the lovely "batwings" or even a heat rash on their inner thighs and this will prevent both better than anything I've ever tried. Rub some on and you'll be set for the day - you stay super dry, literally. I know one reviewer mentioned it's "almost to dry" and while I wont say that, I will say it keeps any moisture away which I happen to love. I wish it was a little cheaper for what it is, but, I'm hooked on it. The smell is pretty good too - not my favorite scent, but, far from horrible like a few have said.

I got this specifically because I wanted something that would keep my manhood boys smelling fresh and dry all day long. And after using it for a few months, I can say it works and smells well. No more funk at the end of the day. I have tried many other powders and deodorizers and was really surprised this actually works. I dab some on my back as well after a shower and keeps me dry. I also got the tingle formula, which works as well, but I prefer the scent of the original formula. Not too manly/musky smelling but just right. UPDATE August 2013. I have had this for over 6 months now and its awesome. Keeps me dry down there all day long. One bottle lasts at least 6 months. I still prefer the original scent but the other one is good too. I can't go anywhere now without putting it on especially living in Arizona. I would definitely buy this again

Something about this beats your average baby powder. After applying it you feel great, and the fear of having that musky smell in certain regions is eliminated!

First off, it smells better than you'd imagine. It doesn't smell like a teenage boy or anything, it smells like high quality cologne. It's worth the price. Will buy for the rest of my life.

You can buy gold bond at your local pharmacy, and you can even use monkey butt (which is also very good). I have also used "men's powder" in the past. Honestly nothing compares to the smell and quality of this product. I will continue to use this product for the foreseeable future. I was unsure about the pricing at first, but after using it for a couple of weeks I am satisfied. Only thing I will do next time is buy the 3 pack to save some $$$ and to try the non scent and active versions of this product.

Works as it should. The Original formula has wonderful smell, in my opinion. However, Balla is also exceptionally pricey. For a fraction of the cost, there are many other alternatives that will do the trick. Clubman's and Anti-Monkey Butt are two that can be had for a quarter (or less) of the cost and provide the same protection.....maybe just not as pleasant smelling. "Special Occasions" only for me.
