I'm amazed at the sound quality these kits produce. No distortion at full volume. Easy to assemble and affordable as well. I was messing around with CAD and a 3D printer and drew up a full case with Speaker and internal mounts. Turned into a fun project and wouldn't have been possible without this quality kit.

This 'build yourself' blue tooth speaker is simply amazing! It was a lot of fun to put together with knowing that it was something you built all by yourself. The instructions were very comprehensive and easy to understand. The materials are very sturdy and of exceptional quality. And the sound is absolutely superior for a speaker of its size. It's crystal clear even when turned all the way up. The compact size of this speaker makes it perfect to place anywhere when you need a little music in your life. I highly recommend it for all ages from 9 to 99.

Easy to build and works great

My 12 year old wasn't entirely sure what to do when she unwrapped this, but eventually the two of us sat and followed the instructions and assembled it. It was a good opportunity to practice following directions *to a tee*, because you gotta. Also a great way to spend time with your kid(s). The assembly sheet isn't especially great, but the critical info is there. When you're done, you've got a Bluetooth speaker that sounds not bad! Along with the "pride" of having built it! QUALMS: A couple minor pauses: 1. It's not as big as you think it's going to be. I included a photo with a pint glass, since most people know how big a pint glass is. 2. I do wish it had an auto power-off. It's powered by 4 AA batteries, and I see young minds forgetting to turn it off, and running the batteries down on the regular. So an auto-off would be nice.

Got this for my niece for the holidays! She is 10 and was able to assemble most of it on her own, with a little help from Dad. Her audiophile father said “ It sounds pretty good for a basic speaker ” which is high praise coming from him! Definitely worth considering!

I bought this as a gift for a 14 year old. He said it was too easy and put it together in maybe 5 minutes. The Bluetooth connectivity works, so now he has a speaker for his phone. I'm thinking I should have bought this for him when he was 10.

It was somewhat overwhelming for my 7 year old to assemble alone but with help he managed to do it. It's a great speaker that does work. We've been able to successfully connect various devices to it.
