Keeps my temperature rock solid
I had to do a coolant system refurb on my Jeep WJ 4.0. The main problem was a worn out fan clutch but it was leaking around the water pump too. I did the "while you're in there's" too so water pump, fan clutch, thermostat, thermostat housing, heater hose pipe and Fel-Pro upgraded gaskets with Honda-Bond RTV Silicone sealant and a new serpentine belt too. Everything worked great but to get the old fan clutch off I had to cut the nut part that screws on to the water pump shaft. I used a new Milwaukee M18 Orbital Super Sawzall, my reward for doing this DIY job. I didn't want to buy the Sawzall but after trying two parts store rental fan clutch removal tools with absolutely zero success, I got medieval on it. 15 minutes and two saw blades later the repair could proceed. The lower fan shroud fasteners are another pain in the ass for that job but after that, no big deal. After carefully cleaning all of the gasket surfaces and applying a reasonable amount of Hondabond, everything reassembled easily, I put the old hoses back in place refilled the system and burped it. Now my engine temperature stays right at 195 I think and beside warming up, the needle never budges. Before it would overheat if I wasn't traveling at 45mph+ and I had to add coolant almost every time I drove. That was mostly the fan clutch causing that but everything I used to fix it is working perfectly so far.

perfect for 2003 WinStar
Working fine. on the Ford, Permatex water pump and thermostat product is a big help. https://a.co/d/ixvnRPR I used this with the more premium gasket from Fel-Pro. I had a small leak so we took it apart. At come at the recommendation of a YouTube video, use some water pump sealant (permatex) to "glue" the thermostat into the housing before installing so that it stays perfectly centered. While any RTV silicon would do the job, this particular pematex product is pretty tacky and sets up very quickly. That's a big help for this in the water pump

The Perfect Replacement
A quality replacement thermostat for my classic Chevy. Opened as intended at 180 after install. Great value for money. Why did you pick this product vs others?

Temperature and fit perfect!
Normal installation in a 2000 Jeep TJ. Only dislike... it has no vent or shaker pin in the stat. ( listed as it has a vee notch that I could not locate?) making it difficult to vent air out of the system on refilling coolant. Very accurate operating temperature. It would be helpful to include a gasket.

Works great!
First off, for all the people complaining about no gasket, this is a standard size thermostat that fits thousands of different vehicles: the o ring that would be used in a sbc chevy would not work for the wierd shaped gasket in my jeep. Suck it up and spend the 1.20 for a damn gasket, you are already spending 20 dollars less than a parts store. Next, I had a napa premium thermostat in my 4.0 jeep and after I put my hi flow radiator in, it would constantly yo-yo up and down from 160 to 210, never staying warm long enough to get out of warm up mode. Dropping my mpg from 14 to 10. I put this in and it drops once, then goes to 210 and stays like it's supposed to! So works like a charm!

To the number perfect.
I took out a very expensive high flow unit because in winter it could not keep my Ford FE warm enough. After combing reviews this just seemed like the good idea. USA made, consistent temperatures, sure I will try it. Well after removing the high flow unit and replacing it with this 'standard flow' unit; my warm up is lightning quick. The thermostat opens consistently at the same temperature, my setup is electric fans triggered by coolant temperature so when the thermostat is consistent, everything is. Great product, don't over think it.
