I've purchased similar products in the past, and the adhesive was white (not transparent).** A: Yes, the adhesive is clear. The way it is designed is that it has a white strip on the one side but as you "run" the strip on your paper the white strip rolls back off the double stick and rolls back onto its own little wheel and all you have on your project is the clear adhesive strip. I've been using these for years and really like them. Very easy to use. **Q: Trying to get my mom some basic supplies so she can put photos in a scrapbook. Should i buy this or something else?** A: I had put probally 50 to 60 photos in scrapbooks. Never had a problem with the tape. The tape does run out quick so get double what you think. I also use this tape to do homemade cards and use an extensive amount of it a year and it's always worked for me. **Q: are these just the refills or do they cum with the actual tape runner?** A: It's both. Tape runner and tape(refills)-great value as you can refill the tape runner over & over. **Q: I want to adhere fabric to card stock. Will this work for that?** A: I have not done so, but if the fabric is not thick I believe it would work.
