SABRENT M.2 2280 SSD Rocket Heatsink in Silver (SB-HTSS)

The install was very simple, comes with a small screw driver so even if you somehow didn't have your own set that fit for these screws,they at least provide the means to finish the job. Make sure you read the instructions carefully to make sure you are installing your NVMe correctly, as they include a spacer thermal pad in case your unit isn't quite thick enough to fill in the space. For my needs, I bought a 2TB NVMe for my PS5, but I wasn't too thrilled with the cooling potential of some of the heatsinks shown that I was recommended to fit in the PS5. I found this heatsink that looked more than adequate at moving heat away from the chip, and searched to see if anyone else had used it on their PS5 setup. I found 1 other person that had, and they informed in the review that the metal shield plate that goes over the NVMe would not be able to be installed with this heatsink, but the plastic PS5 side panels would install just fine. He also noted that there was no issues in thermal performance because of this, and I can confirm. If I wanted to absolutely put the metal plate back on, I would find a lower profile heatsink to install for the PS5, but I wanted better thermal control, and this thing is beefy, well equipt to move heat away from the board as I wished.

The quality product is very well-designed; it makes a perfect coverage over both faces of the drive, dissipating the heat. Fanless is a plus—less wires and noise; the thickness of the materials and quality of the copper and aluminum utilized are top-notch. A+ No daubs a quality product.

I just completed this build last week for my wife. I did a thorough research on heat transfer and dissipation for M.2s and the recommended heat sinks application to ensure optimal performance. First, I chose Sabrent (SB-HTSS) because of the quality of materials used for heat transfer and its "tubular" designed technology that is mostly provided for CPU fans. Second, I wanted a heatsink that would look nice with the white motherboard and case and after installing it (see pictures) it compliments everything. Lastly, was the price. It was appropriately priced and was a small investment to what could be a costly preventative disaster. I couldn't rate the adhesion at this time. It will require several months to a year to see how it holds up. I honestly can't remember pre and post temperature results, but I vaguely recalled doing a temporary stress test for about 2 minutes; temps were hovering around ~21Celsius.

Works very well and it's easy to use allows your m.2 to stay cool and a good 37.6° c all the way up to 46 degrees Celsius so I would recommend buying one if you don't have a heat sink for your m.2

This is a fantastic piece of hardware. The heat sink unit is well-engineered and manufactured. The heat sink fit without any issues into my ASUS Prime X570-Pro MB. The NVMe drive temperatures, underload have decreased by over 20*C. The NVMe drive is now operating at maximum capability under all use conditions. I am buying a second unit for the second NVMe drive that I have installed in the system. I am very, very satisfied with the price and performance of this heat sink.

I got these thinking that I could possibly use them on my PS5 but they were just too high they look really cool though especially this color. They would be definitely good looking in a computer built where you're building your own computer and you can use this because there's no space constraint and from when I saw they do give good thermal Cooling the price was kind of high but being that they are really good quality it wasn't too bad I guess for the price. Overall I would recommend them if you are doing a computer built.

This cooler does work very well. The design is a little high, which is fine for some of the drives I have but if you have a slot near your video card like I do this will not fit there, so I had to go with a shallower heat sink. However, this design where it does fit works VERY well. My Sabrent NVME drives a few degrees cooler than they did with other coolers in the same location. I would recommend this to anyone to protect your drives.

If you're looking at this product with anything in mind other than using it with the Sabrent rocket, WD SN850 or the Samsung 980 then I wouldn't spend my money on it. This heat sync is amazing, it works well, easy to get the SSD set up properly and looks super cool. But for the most part, M.2 drives don't need heat syncs. I purchased the WD SN850 because currently, it is one of the fastest if not the fastest M.2 drive avalbo. It's only downside: It gets really hot. Same thing with a handful of other blazing fast M.2 drives. So conclusion: this product performs perfectly for a very small fraction of the PC building community, but unless you're getting an M.2 drive that has known overheating issues, it's not necessary.

So my drive is in use 24/7 and my 980 Pro has been very hot, 68C on Temp 1 and 78C on Temp 2 under intense load. Needed to find a cooling solution and tried a different EZDIY brand and it did absolutely nothing so I went and got this instead. Huge difference. I went down to highs of 49C Temp 1 and 63C Temp 2 under intense load. That is a 19C and 15C improvement. It is well made and looks slick. Easy to install. I think they took some criticisms before and improved the packaging with clear instructions. Thermal pads were pre-applied and just needed to add the one that was for single-sided drives.

Volevo una penna USB da 1TB veloce, affidabile, robusta, dove poter trasferire Giga di file in poco tempo e senza preoccuparmi che la pen USB si surriscaldi. Ho cercato in rete ed in Amazon confrontando penne USB da 1TB di vari Brand. Nulla arriva alla velocità di scrittura di una SSD M2, così ho pensato di rendere portable una SSD M2. Ho acquistato su Amazon la Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 Velocità di lettura/scrittura 3.500/3.300 MB/s. Sempre su Amazon il Case iDsonix SSD M.2 NVMe to USB 3.2 Gen2 10Gbps e sempre su Amazon il dissipatore SABRENT SSD M.2 2280. Ovviamente è più grande di una pen USB, ma anche le caratteristiche sono maggiori di una classica pen USB. I colleghi sono rimasti stupiti nel vedere la mia nuova magnifica potente pen USB, ed ancora più stupiti quando l'ho provata su USB 3.0, non credevano ai loro occhi vedendo la velocità con cui scrive, per poi sgranare gli ochhi nel vedere la velocità con cui legge. Impossibile paragonare con le loro classiche pen USB. Il tutto l'ho pagato €147 e sono contentissima. Potete fare l'invidia dei vostri colleghi.

I was pretty enthustiastic because my Evo 970 1TB is running quite hot, so i thought that this cooler looked sturdy and there was mainly positive vibes on Amazon on it, so i gave it a shot although it was quite expensive for a passive cooler. First, i had a really hard time fitting the M.2 drive after attaching the cooler because one of the pipes is exactly above the screw that you need to tighten the drive with. This is imo a construction mistake. So i had to try and move the cooler back and forth before finally getting the small included screwdriver to tighten it. Well in place, i had only a result of a 4 degrees celcius lowering of the Samsung Temp... from 60 to 56... not that impressive, i put all my chassifans to max and it actually did'nt affect the cooling so my final verdict is that it is ineffective. Amazon is hazzlefree so i'll return it but unfourtnatly i cannot recommend this cooler.
