Perfect for Golf Cart
Replaced my factory Club Car voltage monitor that always read 100% - never even 1 bar less so far. The bad: Tiny connector/wires (22 ga.) and recessed programming "set" button on reverse that does need to be accessed to re-program when power is removed (at run/tow switch for instance), the display is not as sharp as pictured, and the temperature display is superfluous. (I really don't need to know the temperature behind the dashboard as there is no exterior temperature probe). The good: Accurate voltage reading, programmable limits for 0 - 100% with digital and graphic display, programmable time delay to turn display off. Reading "best practices" that you should charge 48V flooded lead-acid batteries when they get to 60% (apprx 49.0V) and that my battery pack settles at 51.1V after charge, I programmed limits (Low=49.0V, Hi=51.1V) and now always know for sure the useable range of my battery pack when riding. (I do charge batteries after each ride as recommended by Club Car) While it has been mentioned by others (correctly so) that this voltage display reflects changing voltage while under load, I think that it is a useful feature when needing to check operational parameters - normally I will turn the meter on when first beginning a ride to confirm charge state and have set the time delay for 60 seconds so that the display turns off. If needing to know pack voltage under load, I can turn it back on as necessary. I'd recommend this meter for sure.

Small but Seems Ok So Far
I've just gotten to mounting this today, but it still works after a 25 mile test ride on the electric bike over some pretty rough roads, so that seems like a good start! Two things of note. This is TINY! I often misjudge the size of things from the pictures, I really expected this to be about twice as big, so take a moment to look at the specs, and understand how small this is. Also, its not very easy to read in bright day light, especially while bouncing down the road. I was using this to test a new battery on an electric bike, so I really was trying to see my voltage level while moving and accelerating. If I stopped, the battery would recover and throw off the numbers. Anyway, small is good, just harder to read when moving. There are other reviews that mention how to configure this for your type of battery. Mine came with the directions, just be sure to make the adjustments before you mount, you'll need access to the rear of the meter to press the set button. I'm using it with LiFePO4 pack, and after setting it up, it seems to be pretty accurate.

Would buy it again but the instructions could be better
FYI for anyone seeing this if you have a Samsung SDI its not lithium its a lithium Phosphate and its 14 cell. I had it set to just lithium and it read 100% battery until it was dead. Luckily i was near home. After now figuring it out its pretty simple but the first time you use it its pretty complicated being it can be used on so many different applications. Overall though good quality especially for less than $20, Voltage matched closely to a voltmeter, Display is easy to read.

Incredibly thin wires
The meter seems to work, I can't speak for the accuracy of the voltage as it fluctuates a lot. It was reading at 48% and after I drove it around for about 20 minutes it started 52%, but I like the fact that it displays the actual voltage instead of just a battery icon with bars. I couldn't mount it where my old on was mounted, this one is bigger so I need to cut a bigger hole. My biggest complaint is that the wires are super thin! I didn't know they made wires that think. Id say probably 26 or 28 gauge. I was afraid to touch them. The screen is also not very bright. It's hard to read in the sunlight. Pros: -Voltage display along with percentage -temperature display -on/off button -price Cons: - Wire size. Id like to have seen 18 or at least 22 gauge wire. This wire seems very thin - Display is hard to read in the sunlight

Two Thumbs Up for this Golf Cart Battery Meter!
I really like the look and features of this battery meter. As has been commented on before, the gauge of wire is very thin and does feel flimsy. I tried making this better by stripping the wires for an inch or so, then folding the bare wire in half and twisting it together. Next, I tinned the wire ends with solder and then crimped them onto spade terminal connectors. In addition to crimping the wire ends to the terminal connectors, I also soldered them to the connectors to insure stable electrical contact. I crimped the corresponding female connectors to the positive and negative wires behind the dashboard of my golf cart. To strengthen the connections, I applied heat shrink tubing to the wiring on each end and fitted it to snugly abut the terminal connections both male and female. I then enlarged the already existing meter hole to accommodate the dimensions of the new meter. I did this by first cutting out a template using an index card, which I aligned and taped to the dash where the meter will reside. Using the template, I cut the hole using a hack saw blade and did finish trimming with an Exacto knife. Finally, I plugged the spade connectors together - positive to positive and negative to negative. I used more heat shrinkable tubing to completely cover up and protect the point where the male and female spades are connected. This guaranteed the connect would never accidently disconnect. I then programmed the meter to correspond to the type and voltage of my golf cart batteries. However, when I turned on the display, it shows that my brand new (two-day old), fully charged batteries are at 77% of capacity. It should read near 100%. I’ve asked the seller for assistance to resolve the problem. The seller promptly instructed me to use menu item 3 to customize the minimum and maximum voltage of my battery array. I did what they instructed and that resolved the issue. The finished installation looks great and the meter seems to operate perfectly.

Smaller than expected. But worlds fine

Worked great, you don’t need a phone app to monitor your batteries. This does it for you.
