Graco Affix Highback Booster Seat with Latch System, Atomic

Having been in an accident before (where the infant car seat saved our son’s life), safety was paramount so lots of research went into this and even after making my choice, I was still a bit nervous but after several months of use, DS and I are both happy with this seat! We transitioned from the Graco Extend2Fit so this was quite the leap but we decided that our son (48 inches, 50 lbs) was ready for a harness free, high back booster. What I wanted was a quality seat with latch system (✔️) and what he wanted was a “red and black booster” (✔️) so in the end, we both got what we wanted! The cup holder (located underneath the seat) was easy to find and install. Once in, it’s not going anywhere! The snack tray is nice if needed and slides in easily if not. The seat itself is pretty sturdy without adding a lot of bulk or weight. It is much easier to carry around than our previous seat! The basic latch system (same as previous) makes it slightly harder to switch between vehicles than other boosters but is worth it in my opinion! I like to know that it’s anchored in with or without our son sitting in it (others just flop around in the car and I’d worry about what might happen if we were ever hit again). I also like that the seat belt stays threaded through the shoulder guide when not in use which was an issue with others we looked at. The seat belt lays across his lap perfectly and the back can keep growing with him as he gets taller until I feel comfortable going backless or he’s ready to go without a booster. I was a little worried about the integrity of the back when first installed as the higher it slides up, the less sturdy it felt… However, once he was properly seated, I felt better and we’ve not had any issues since it was installed. Again, safety comes first in my book but for the price, I’d say we got a pretty great seat overall and our son asked that I “give it 5 stars please” for comfort and color. If you’re ready to transition to a harness free booster, I feel good about recommending this seat! We’ve stuck with Graco since our son was born and have never regretted that decision!

I love this car seat!! It was so easy to assemble, took me 5 minutes. The quality is great and has nice padding. Very easy to adjust the height. Also very easy to clean. The anchors to the vehicle gave me a peace of mind switching from a 5 point harness to a high back booster seat. Very easy to put in your vehicle. Can’t recommend this car seat enough!!!

We took a road trip with my 5 yr. old granddaughter using a simple booster seat. She is safest in the center of the car. Without the back and head support, she would flop around when she slept. The cross body seat belt cut into her neck. While she was definitely tall and heavy enough for the simpler booster, it really wasn't as safe or comfortable as this seat. This seat supports her upright body giving her something to lean her head against. The seat belt is directed into the correct position by the slot in this car seat. Regardless, my granddaughter still prefers a c shaped bead pillow with this seat. Aaahhh, the princess with the pea! It connects directly to the vehicle giving my daughter peace of mind. It doesn't connect directly to older cars, relying on the lap belt to do most of the support. Its seat provides enough space for her legs. It will grow with her for it least a couple of more years. It's not incredibly wide, leaving space for another passenger beside it in a compact car (Honda Civic) and space for two more in a larger car (SUV). The cup holder works. Overall, I wish we'd had this on our road trip. It works better overall than the simpler booster and provides more safety. We ended up buying it again. One for us and one for her parents. Update: She's 6 now and the doctor says she's the height and weight of an average 8 yr. old. She's still using it. I hope we can get through the summer!

My daughter is 7 and small for her age. She was done with the car seat she had since infancy, it transitioned and still worked for her but she felt like a baby in it. I wasn’t ready to give up the head protection since she is so wee so we got this rather than just the bottom booster seat. It can latch in and that part is every easy or it can just sit in the seat. She uses the seatbelt normally and in this seat is able to buckle herself and unbuckle, big kid stuff. It has a cup holder and a snack holder which are essential at this age since they can’t reach the standard car holders. The latch tightened is easy to use in the front of the seat, can also be loosened from there. Makes moving the seat from car to car a breeze. I’m glad we found this one and a decent price.

We were saving for another Diono car seat for my 3 year old when I realized that our 5 year old could move into a high back booster if he wanted to, and hand his Radian R120 down to his sister. We looked together at the seats Consumer Reports and the Car Seat Lady had rated highly, and he chose this one (mainly because it's red and has a cup holder). I needed a relatively narrow one that attached to the seat as I didn't want the booster turning into a projectile while it was unoccupied. It's narrow enough to fit alongside a Diono Radian R120 and a Britax B Safe 3 abreast in the back of our Ford Escape, and attaches easily to the seat. It would get 5 stars if it weren't for the apparently common problem of the left side strap that tightens the booster to the passenger seat being basically unusable. Fortunately the booster is still tightly tethered on the right, and attached with slack on the left. In the event of an accident, the seat belt is supposed to keep the kiddo in place so I'm confident he won't be swung to the side. It's light, comfy, has a neat little slide-out compartment for snacks or treasures, and seems tall enough to comfortably fit my 95th percentile-for-height boy for quite awhile in the high back configuration. He loves it, and I'm more comfortable than I thought I'd be taking him out of a 5 point harness.

Buscar un asiento para niños siempre es toda una odisea, si son muy baratos no brindan una protección adecuada, si son muy caros tienen cosas que no se utilizan, pero este, este se cuece aparte. La base tiene el tamaño ideal para no ser ni muy estorboso ni muy raquítico, tiene sistema latch, que al combinarlo con el sistema isofix del coche da como resultado que este se mantenga en su lugar, tiene también descansabrazos, un portavasos y un compartimento que abre y cierra para guardar cosas, la cabecera del respaldo puede hacerse hacia arriba para crecer con tu puchunguis y a los lados de esta tiene unas aberturas por donde pasas el cinturon de seguridad y le queda perfecto al niño o niña en cuestión sin lastimarle el cuello, además en rojo se ve de pelos, no aburrido como los otros colores que venden.

Bought this for my 3.5-year-old. Fitted perfectly in my ecosport rear seat ISOFIT. The seat was easy to assemble, lightweight and has quality look and feel. Attaching/detaching this from the car is a breeze. My daughter loved it, she needs to be trained to sit with seatbelt put on.

La silla es muy buena para la función que se menciona, muy fácil y rápido de armar, el uso en el vehículo también es fácil y no pesa mucho, además que su instalación puede hacerse en cualquier silla del vehículo, no es muy cómoda para viajes muy largos para los niños más pequeños si se quedan dormidos, pues la posición de la silla deja un poco incómodo la cabeza. Pero en todo lo demás está muy bien, una excelente compra
