Bought months ago. Good assortment. Some of the pieces are cheap feeling but still able to use. I have 10 guitars, a few banjos, mandolins, and ukuleles this helps fixing setups and minor repairs. Worth having.

I've been learning how to set up my own guitar -- and finally decided to invest into the basic tools for setting up my guitar. I hate spending full retail price for anything so I scoured around for the best "bang for my buck" while getting the essential tools I needed for my guitar setup. After purchasing and using, I think I scored, seeing that most kits similar to this are from $45-$60. This kit is not extensive but it comes with most everything one could want for a basic guitar set-up. The parts in general feel pretty cheap, and the truss rod adjusters don't work as well compared to the allen wrench that came with my guitar, but if I were order each of these to piece this separately it would come out to be a whole lot more than I would like to spend. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for high quality tools, but it definitely gets the job done for amateurs like me.

Some of the items here are legit and really helped me with luthier work. The fret rocker, radius gauges, files, and the nut slotting file have been indispensable. The screw driver broke, and the string ruler is not the best. The measurements start on the rounded corners of the card and will not give you an accurate measurement. I could not use the fret crowning file. I believe this may have been my mistake. I would say you'd be better off trying to buy the specialized guitar tools separately and then getting harbor freight tools to fill the void to round out your set of tools.

it's a very nice budget toolkit. I actually have most of these tools but it's about time that I bite the bullet and have them all in one kit and not have to run to the garage, workshop or barn to find the correct allen wrench etc etc. fingerboard protectors are great, has all radius guages, torch cleaning files that should improve most pinching slots on the nut, fret rounding file. Again... a budget set of tools to keep handy.

First of all this is a great set for the money. For the rocker level, files and string action ruler you could easily pay the day price elsewhere. That being said, the files are kind of chinsy and require added pressure to do anything which in turn left marks on the fretboard from the edges of the fret guard. Also it is stated here that you get 3 fret guards and I only got two. Other than that the value of this set it great and I can see myself using it on all my guitars as I restring them. Anything from bass to 6 string to 12 string guitars will benefit from having a set like this. Get yourself some fretboard conditioner and guitar polish and you are ready to spruce up all your babies to show off and get them playing beautifully. The action ruler is very beneficial and can help you with string height and pickup height. Also included is a small steel ruler which has nice, clear numbers printed on them. Next is the rocker level which was the thing I was looking forward to most. If there is any buzzing noise you can see if it is in fact a unlevel fret or if you need to sand a saddle down. Very helpful tool! I have yet to use the understring gauges but I'm sure I will soon.

Not top notch tools, but a very well rounded package. I use it regularly now that I've started doing my own set ups and adjustments. It's quality. But it ain't perfect.

Not the best quality but will do the job

I was concerned that I might not get what was in the picture (as some had stated in the reviews), but everything was identical. The quality wasn't super great, but it was about the same as all the other tool kits available. So, all in all I was satisfied.

A handy collection of tools and OK for the price.
