FINALLY!!!!!
Finally a great skimmer PLUS an automatic water level attachment!!! Where I live in NC the evaporation in the summer is terrible!!! I honestly thought a few years ago I had a leak in the liner of my pool. But the local pool supply told me to take a bucket fill about half to three quarters full. Leave it for a day or two. Then see how much water evaporated. And WOW!!! It was crazy. It had lost a third of the water in 2 full days. So yes, keeping the water level maintained without doing it everyday manually was a great idea!!!! I had used a float device i had got for an animal watering bucket (float goes down as they drink it. When it does it opens a valve up, fills the bowl up, and closes off the water valve when its full) but funding a way to mount it and all was a pain. This is great!! Only suggestion I have is, make it so a hose pipe will screw straight on the water level side. I have to go find special fittings to finish hooking mine up to my hose pipe, I assumed a standard hose would hook up. That's the only complaint

Works as a Skimmer just fine. The added water leveler is another story
Skimmer works great as a skimmer but the pool water leveler can use some work. You have to basically have the water on drip for it not to shut off. Anything higher and it will run for an actual second or two and then stop. Wait for the water in the chamber to lower and do it all over again. It will continue to cycle like that over and over unless you turn the water down so low that it is barely coming out. On the plus side of that, if the float breaks you probably won't waste too much water before you catch that it's not stopping. To me the feature isn't worth the price

Skimmer with overflow
It is nice not working about over flow around skimmer area. Works great.

Doesn't last very long
Great idea but plastic parts don't last. Tried to get a replacement and swimline won't talk with me because they are the manufacturer. You can't just pull a skimmer out of the pool.

A skimmer is very important in any pool.
I added this to my above ground pool. I like the auto leveling system, and look forward to years of service from it.

Cant buy replacement parts
Main fitting that attaches to water inlet breaks very easily, but the manufacturer has no replacement parts because they are actually just a distributor. Swimline does not actually manufacture this piece and they won't tell me who does. This broke less than 6 months after installation. cheap plastic float valve components. I LOVE the concept of this but this isn't the brand to buy.
