The sole has a fairly good grip.One major drawback is, the fabric and the foam under it absorb sweat from the foot, and start stinking like unwashed socks after about 2 months. I machine-washed the slippers but the foul odour remained. It is very difficult to clean the foam underneath the fabric and rid it of the stink. The foam absorbs water while washing, and is very difficult to dry.
