This product is designed specifically for water testing only. It stands to reason that one possibly COULD create a modified testing method for other substances, but not without a fair amount of effort. I bought these tests before sending off my water for extensive testing. Easy, affordable test. This test was spot on with the results from the lab. Great test! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good baseline to test Hg. *by F***S on August 9, 2022* I used this testing method to detect Hg in urine samples. It does work, however ensure that you diet is stable free of colored foods and well hydrated. Avg sample size of 100-150ml of urine dwell times of 5 to 15 min using 3 strips to get avg result. Only way to discover if you have Hg in body is to chelate and measure after chelating regimen cycle is completed, ( 1 cycle = 14 days; 3 days on chelating agents and 11 days off chelating agents).
