Review: Amazing Multi Effects solution in a sturdy, classy looking pedal! - I got into modulation effects, and started buying single effects pedals. Midway, I stumbled upon this, and man, it delivers! Time to put the individual effects pedals away. This pedal has, wait for it, 18 modulation effects! You can choose from one of 9 on each mode (A and B), and then run them in series or parallel. This capability makes this pedal super versatile for pairing effects, and creating interesting soundscapes. The controls are super simple - Speed/Rate: It says Speed on Mode A, Rate on B but both do the same job, that is, control the speed of the filtering effect - Depth/Mix: Typical mix knob, dry to the left, wet to the right. - Control: Now this one's interesting, and I found it to be different for different effects, it's more like an intensity control for the primary parameter for the effect, for eg: for the Octaver effect, it controls the pitch of the octave added, while for say a flanger or a tremolo it controls the strength of the filter/modulation effect. Hold the buttons and you enter the tap tempo mode, this is an amazing feature that not many effect pedals at this price point have. Quite a few of the effects immediately stand out as high quality and very usable! - St-Chorus (ModeB): Lush, strong yet not overpowering, very 80s! - Auto-Wah (ModeB): This one alone should make the pedal worth its price! It's so good, perfect for those 70s funk stuff and for adding some oomph to your solos. - Tremolo (ModeA) and Opt-Tremolo (ModeB): Amazing tremolos, I must say, perfect for adding movement to your rhythm parts. - Roto (ModeA): Now we're getting into some Gilmourish stuff, subtle but noticeable. I loved playing through this effect. - Stutter (ModeB): This, as the name suggests, is similar to the tremelos but more of an abrupt effect, think square wave filtering. Very effective - Vibrato (ModeB): Smooth, very smooth, perfect for adding some emotion and depth to your arpeggios. - Phaser (ModeB): Get your VH on! Crank the gain and get rocking! - Tri-Ch (ModeA): Similar to St-Chorus but stronger! I mean way stronger! Switch to this mode and you'll try hard to resist playing some Nirvana. - Flanger (ModeA): Very Chorusy if the Speed and Control knobs are set right. Crank them to get that typical whooshy flangy sound! Some fun ones: - Ring (ModeA): Vintage Phone dialer tone, ring-a-ring-ring. - Low Bit (ModeB): Bit crusher like stuff, good for playing those vintage video game tunes. And this is stereo! Isn't that awesome? Even if you are not into all the effects, you can create a wet/dry setup, simply use the L input and drive your two amps from the L and R outputs. Pros: - Most of the effects are amazing! And the price is less than, say a single chorus or a flanger or an auto-wah from most other brands. - It supports stereo. - The build is very good like the other Joyo R series pedal, the knobs and buttons feel sturdy. - The ambient lighting is a nice touch. It looks very classy. Cons: - There's a slight volume drop in some of the effects. - The yellow font on the brown body makes it a bit hard to decipher, you might need to mark your favorite positions if playing live. Overall, this pedal is a lot of fun and will inspire you to play out of the box and more creatively. It's awesome for any live rig or a recording setup. Very versatile.
Review: Great budget/intro pedal for fx, might fall flat for the experienced geetarists - So I just received this joyo vision today. I immediately hooked it up in my pedal chain(don't have fx loop). First thing I noticed is that it's really hard to read the settings. I started fiddling around with it going through the setting turning knobs this way and that.. to me and my style there isn't to much for me so far. soo I've messed around with this for about 3 hours now and not quite sure yet.. This is not a bad pedal by any means.. It's a solid design its sturdy looks cool aesthetically . Knobs feel solid as well . Lots of setting to mess with. And at the price point under 100 bucks you can't go wrong.I have noticed a volume drop when using both channels not by much but it's something to keep in mind.. You can get some interesting sounds tho.. I'm going to continue to mess around with this to see if I can find a hidden gem or two. So far I give it a 4/5 it is relatively easy to use. Good sound quality not the best I've had but for a budget pedal it's in the top 3. The versatility is where it kinda loses me. Most of the settings I can replicate using my boss sy1 and one or two of my earthquakers if your looking for good budget fx pedal or if you're new to fx pedals I would absolutely recommend this one

## Features

- 18 MODULATION EFFECTS — 9 PER CHANNEL, STACK & BLEND FREELY: The Vision packs 18 total modulation types across two independent channels. Channel A delivers Mod-Phaser, Chorus, Stereo-Phaser, Flanger, Phase, Rotary, Tremolo, Liquid Phaser, and Tri-Chorus—your classic and lush modulation toolkit. Channel B adds Opt-Tremolo, Small Chorus, Low-Bit, Auto-Wah, Analog Flanger, Phaser, Octave, Stutter, and Vibrato—for experimental, lo-fi, and rhythmic textures. Players describe the Stutter as a highlight and the Auto-Wah as "worth the pedal's price alone."
- DUAL-CHANNEL STEREO WITH SERIES/PARALLEL ROUTING: Run both channels independently in stereo—each with its own Speed/Rate, Control, and Depth/Mix knobs—and toggle between Series (A→B cascading) or Parallel (A+B blended) with the center switch. Series mode layers effects for complex, evolving soundscapes; Parallel mode keeps two textures side-by-side for rich, wide stereo imaging. Independent Tap Tempo per channel syncs your modulation to the beat.
- TAP TEMPO & INTUITIVE 3-KNOB CONTROL PER CHANNEL: Hold either footswitch to enter Tap Tempo mode and sync your modulation rate to the music in real time. Each channel features dedicated Speed/Rate, Control (effect-specific parameter), and Depth/Mix knobs for precise sound sculpting—no menu diving required. Pro tip: For the best tone and to avoid volume drop, power the Vision with a dedicated 9V DC supply rated 170mA or higher (we recommend 500mA ports for cleanest headroom).
- AMBIENT LED LIGHTING & ROAD-READY DESIGN: The iconic blue ambient LED lights on the front and rear edges make your pedalboard glow—choose from 3 modes (Sync, Always On, or Off) via a recessed switch on the underside. Encased in a rugged aluminum alloy chassis (130×110×50mm, 425g), the Vision features two sturdy footswitches with LED indicators for clear on/off status on dark stages.
- JOYO QUALITY & AFTER-SALES CONFIDENCE: Backed by JOYO's decade-plus reputation for crafting innovative, budget-friendly gear. The Vision is part of the R Series, built with upgraded precision components in a rugged metal housing. Important: Powered by 9V DC adapter only (center negative, not included). Rated current: 170mA. No battery compartment. For the cleanest sound and to minimize latency, use a regulated, isolated 9V power supply and avoid daisy-chaining with other high-current digital pedals. Should any issues arise, our dedicated support team is ready to assist through your desertcart order page.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can the R-09 be used in a standard mono pedalboard setup?**
A: Yes. Plug your instrument into INPUT L and run OUTPUT L directly to your amplifier or subsequent pedals for clean mono routing.

**Q: What is the difference between Series and Parallel connection modes?**
A: Series mode feeds Channel A's output directly into Channel B for complex cascading modulation, while Parallel mode runs both channels side-by-side.

**Q: Does the R-09 include a power adapter?**
A: No, the power adapter is not included. It requires a 9V DC center-negative adapter. No battery compartment—adapter only. Isolated power supply recommended for cleanest performance.

**Q: I hear unwanted hum or buzz. What can I do?**
A: This is usually power or cable related. Start with one guitar, one amp, and two known-working cables. Avoid noisy daisy chains, unstable power supplies or power outlet. If the issue continues, send us a message through the Amazon order page.

**Q: What parameters does the "CONTROL" knob adjust?**
A: The CONTROL knob adjusts an effect-specific parameter for each modulation type. The exact parameter shaped varies depending on the active modulation type.
