Love Spartan Blades
Great blade. Quality materials and looks fantastic. Spartan has been a favorite of mine for a while.

Love this blade
It is small enough to carry many different ways, and it is thin in profile so it doesn't print. It is also light and yet feels robust in hand. I've been looking for a fixed blade to carry all day every day and I think I may have found it.

Good with minor flaws
Blade isn't as sharp out of the box as I would have hoped for (Can easily be sharpened) but it's been very reliable for me. 4 stars because 1 set of the screws (Back of handle) fell out when I was outside and couldn't find a replacement. Company did sent 2 replacement scres promptly. But just the past weekend the screw closest to the blade fell out in my hand. Ended up putting loctite on both sets this time. Size was perfect for my smaller hands.

Fantastic
Amazing knife and sheath. Bought this from Amazon because itโs an easy purchase and Chicago Knife Works has the cheapest price Iโve seen. Great quality and as expected of Ka-Bar and Spartan Blades.

UN-MOUNTABLE WITHOUT BLADETECH
I would like to provide i higher review but I cannot mount this knife. Based on what I received you may as well just purchase a blade tech kit. The only mounting option provided is the double button strap that is too short to mount on a standard belt and comes loose when trying to put on. The secondary strap I ASSUME is missing hardware. As there was no provided screws to assemble it.

Good, not perfect.
What I like about the knife- Great sheath. Molded plastic similar to kydex with retention. A thumb button releases the blade nicely. Ergos. The blade feels good and controllable in my hand. Blade shape. Great multifunctional blade design. What I don't- Blade is a little thick. Cutting edge was bevel uneven, dull and the angle was pretty obtuse, had to be over 45 degrees, inclusive of both sides. Steel is ok, but not amazing. All in all, this is a good knife. I need to find a good mounting solution for a belt because I got this to conceal. I personally like to keep my blades VERY sharp, so I wasn't thrilled when I first checked out the edge. The first thing I did was reprofile it to 20 degrees per side to balance edge longevity and sharpness, however I prefer between 15-18 degrees because it performs better in slashing applications. I didn't feel comfortable going that steep without some testing but if it isn't too high maintenance at those angles, that would make this a real winner. As someone who owns several high-end knives of both Spyderco and Benchmade, I feel confident in saying this knife is very good quality for its price tag, even if you do need to put a proper sharpening to it right out of the box. It is definitely no Phrike or Nimravus, but it is good.

Overpriced KA-BAR
For those that don't know, Spartan Blades doesn't make these KA-BAR does and slaps the Spartan logo on it. With that comes the KA-BAR quality issues. Mine was dull as a butter knife and has a recurve on the first 2" of the blade. Needs a total reprofile. Micarta was rough cut and poorly finished. Sheath is subpar for the price versus competitors. Really wanted to give them a chance but this is bad even at $100. If I could return it I would but it was already used for testing purposes.

Very nice EDC fixed blade with all the right features
Excellent blade. Super sharp from the box in this case. Great sheath and retention system. Lots of flexibility for mounting using the various holes and slots on the sheath edges. Will work with IWB soft loops, UltiClip, and others. Great fit and grip in the hand and a perfect EDC fixed blade. It's a workhorse with a thick blade, dependable sheath, and good blade steel for keeping the knife sharp.
