Valterra 200-CU20 PVC Swing/Spring Combination Check Valve, Clear, 2" Union

Best pool. Check valve yet. Ive replace couple others. Like that you can see if it clogs and the ability to remove clean and replace. Rather than cut out through away and buy new.

I purchased this check valve to replace an older valve on my pool. The old valve was allowing water to flow in the wrong direction, and even though I replaced the flapper on the old valve, it continued to let water back up and it would lower the water level in the spa every night when the system was off. It took a little work to install the valve, I had to cut out the old valve and make some adjustments with the PVC piping, but I very much like the concept that since the check valve has slip connectors, it can be replaced very easily in the future... check valves don't last forever. The check valve is also in clear plastic, so it is easy to see the valve in action... it is easy to see if a twig or something got into the system and is causing the valve to seat incorrectly, thereby allowing water to go in the wrong direction when the system is off. High recommend!

This sweet check valve was excellent for keeping high pressure sewage from spewing uncontrollably out of my toilet. Now the poop goes DOWN, not up! I love it!!

I ordered this check value with 2” unions unaware of the weird sizing of pipes. So a 2" pipe measured is actually 1 1/2" if you're ordering the size or coupler, go figure. The inner diameter of this union is closer to 2 3/8". I had to go buy some 2" to 1 1/2" sizers to make this work, but it does work pretty good. I won't knock it for my own ignorance of stupid pvc sizing.

Well made and the clear portion is great to have, but the spring on the flapper is so tight that it restricts flow.

Bought one to replace an old, leaky check valve. Fits 2" PVC pipe (diameter slightly bigger than 2"). Works well, no sound at all. About half the price of what pool equipment store sells.

Pipes used to clang so loudly it scared my dog and we couldn’t do laundry while someone slept. Since this was added, we no longer hear the pipes at all. It’s cheaper in price than a few others which is why we tried it expecting it to fail, but we’re very surprised. It’s clear so you can see everything, and contact cement to put it in is working perfectly (just unscrew from the plastic if it ever needed to be replaced). I highly recommend this.
