This is a great receiver, I should have bought it sooner, it’s excellent and every feature that you could ask for. It’s great for any vehicle that you can fit it in.

This product was great for a couple years then one day I turned my car on and it never fully booted up. It got stuck in this loop of turning on then restarting itself.

Installed in a 2018 Jeep Renegade, install was very easy, radio has tons of features there are sone great YT videos, so I won't go into detail.

I've always like the pioneer brand for a long time so I decided to buy this for my tacoma. The 9 inch display fits flush against frame. You just have drill new mounting holes in the bracket. The Install wasn't too bad either. I ended up buying all of the Metra wiring harness, usb retension, and stock antenna retension. The unit itself looks amazing with a nice big touch screen to play around with. Here's the kicker. Apple Carplay. I wanted to get this unit mainly for wired/wireless Carplay, but this thing keeps crashing from time to time which gets frustrating in the middle of a road trip. It literally feels like it gets overwhelmed trying to play spotify and navigate Google maps at the same time that it falls over and dies. This is what brought my rating from a 5 star to a 1 star. You would think spending this much money for a head unit should have stable software for consumer use especially a brand that has been around for many years. But no. I'd say 7 times out of 10 road trips, Carplay would crash hard. Not only that but sometimes your phone will not be detected anymore until you restart the whole unit. Definitely very frustrating knowing how much of an investment I put in this head unit. Having the unit crash every other time you utilize Carplay makes me feel like Pioneer is putting little effort to upkeep it's unit.

Screen is great functions fast and smooth.

since re-molding and modifying my whole dash/ center counsel is taking to long. i didn't install my radio soon enough to consider a return. plus why have to pay for shipping of a faulty product. regardless once installed everything went great for about ten min, then it happened.. the best descriptor is possession. The volume changes on its own followed by the source, then -ATT activation and so on. I preceded to update the firmware removed any aux/ Bluetooth/ wifi/ usb/ video connections, everything. made sure it was within the correct install angle and tightly secured. Made all speaker connections wired and not rca. Parked or driving the possession or spirit is still inside. This was meant to be the the brain of a 7 thousand dollar system. i've installed 100s of radio's in all fashions of vehicles and never delt with this. Luck maybe however. Long story short they sold me a damage product.
