my lid did not explode!
I was hesitant to buy this based on some "exploding lid" reviews, but glad I did. I've only used it once, having just received it. I still have my 30 year old crockpot and it works fine, but it has the temperature dial in degrees, and this one has "low, high, warm" settings. Most recipes I come across now call for low or high settings, and with the temperature dial I have to guess what temp I think the author of the recipe thinks is "low". I made chicken stroganoff in the old crockpot, and buffalo chicken in this one. Set them both on low at the same time and the chicken in both cooked at the same pace. Per directions, I did not lock the lid while cooking. So I didn't experience shattering lids, leaking, nor caving in of the outer casing. I love the red color of this one and the oval shape, my old one is boring brown and circular. And i like having the warm setting on this one. And for $25 for a 6 quart portable crockpot - it's a pretty good deal. I crockpot cook most of the year - will update if anything changes. Update 10/10/2019-still working fine, no problems, no exploding lid and I’m still using it a few times a week-heats up like it should, cooks thoroughly, easy-ish to clean. I’ve even transported it with the lid locked and it hasn’t shattered, but I only lock the lid when transporting and unlock when I plug it back in.

Cooks great and slow!
Bought this for my wife and she really likes it. We've made one meal in it thus far and this crockpot did a great job. My wife was a little nervous when she read the reviews saying that it cooked too fast, but we have not experienced that. Ours did not cook fast. We made a pot roast and it cooked just like it was supposed to, nice and slow. We were very pleased. Wife loved the red color. She enjoys the simple cooking settings and the carrying lid is very secure. We did not notice any smell like some of the other reviews mentioned. It’s a good size and cleans very easily. Overall, a great crockpot and no complaints so far. One thing we noticed from looking at the reviews; the silver color had far more complaints about overcooking than the red. May be nothing, but just something we noticed and our red colored one works amazing.

Love it!
I cannot tell you how much I love this crockpot. When it came time to buy a new one I was dreading how much I would have to spend to get a good quality slow cooker that didn’t break the bank. I was so happy to find this product and even happier when it arrived so quickly. My favorite function is the lock and carry function! You can apply the lid, close the locks that seal the contents in the dish, unplug the machine and go! You don’t have to worry about spills with this crock pot, the lock function is awesome and the carrying handles are so sturdy. I also loved the color of this product, it’s not a bright red so it would most likely fit in with any kitchen design. The pot is easy to clean and the entire thing is so easy to store. I would buy this again when the time comes. Bottom Line: This product works so well, travels so well, and even looks good in your kitchen. So, I would recommend this to anyone.

A Nice Looking, Functional Appliance
I almost spent more for a digital model, but got thinking. How many times in the past have I ever wished for that function. Not once. My other slow cooker was a bit too small, and getting kind of tired looking. This really adds a nice splash of color to your counter top. The cook and carry feature is certainly handy. It feels solid and well constructed. It does not look cheap. The only issue I found, is it cooks a little too much on the hot side. Even set to keep warm will keep the liquid boiling. Sure, it cooks quick, but if you don’t keep an eye on things, you will end up with burnt looking food. Set on high, just about anything will cook in 4-5 hours, and be on its way to ruining what’s in it if say, you are away for 8 hours. Medium is the best setting for almost anything. With that said, I like everything else. My other slow cooker was a bit on the hot side as well, just not as hot as this one. So I guess that’s to be expected. Recommended.

Good for wax
This is the only crock pot I would trust to hold pounds of hot wax for months on end. It'll still smoke and you shouldn't do that inside but I've seen it done for years now and never once had a fire. I'm sure that's improper use of this product and don't blame me if you fill it with wax and start a fire, but I personally would trust it to melt wax without a fire. Always check your smoke temps though just to be sure.

C’est parfait
I use this for nearly every meal. I am a cyclist and eat around 3500-4000 calories a day. I also supplement my upperbody with gymnastic/calisthenic training so when the hunger comes it hits hard and I’ll usually grab everything near me which is many times not the best food for me. This cooker allows me to have a large amount of wholesome food ready for when I go werewolf. I cook giant turkey wings a choice of bean like black eyed peas together in this with seasoning/sea salt and maybe something else then eat it drowning a bowl of organic brown rice. Tis fire. Great for athletic recovery and refueling the body wholesomely. Great product, solid, and does the job over and over. Also, low and high settings my food can be done in 3-4hrs or 7-8hrs, my choice. Flavor, tenderness, broth formation, all factors in this decision.
