I was getting by with a couple of older gel ice packs, no fabric sleeve to put them in, no strap. So this little kit was a welcome change. The fabric on one side of the wrap is silky, the other side is more like light flannel. The silky side will deliver more direct cold, the flannel side offers a bit more cushioning, so it tempers the cold delivery a bit. Same applies when using the gel packs for heat -- you'll want to find the right temperature sweet spot for heating them in your microwave, then you can pick silky or flannel-y. The strap isn't long enough to go around your waist like a belt (unless you're really, really trim), but it does an excellent job of wrapping around arms, forearms, thighs, calves, ankles -- and you can get creative draping the cold/hot pack over the back of your neck or over one shoulder and connecting the straps under your opposing arm. The cold/hot gel pads themselves are a nice big size, and thick enough to hold heat and cold a good long time, but thin enough to slip behind your lower back and rest against a chair or couch comfortably. Very well made, therapeutic product at a very good price.

These gel packs were perfect to apply heat to an infection in my arm following a wound. They are well made and serve the intended purpose very well. Be careful not to overheat in a microwave and cause an explosion, as I did with a more cheaply made gel pack.

They're nice little ice packs. The only concern and the reason that they're not getting five stars is that they are a bit overfilled. At least the ones I received. If you're using them as a heating pad just be aware that they pop pretty easily. I had one out of the two in the pack pop on me pretty soon after purchase, it was at night, it was gooey, it was not fun. So if you're just placing the gel pack somewhere it's fine. But if you put pressure on it, like you have it on your back and you're sitting back in a chair it it has a high probability of popping. Unfortunately the seams just don't seem to be too strong. It's great as an ice pack, nice little thing, but I would not recommend as a therapeutic Heating source.

Great ice packs! I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for smaller ice packs. I use these every day for pain. They are a nice size for my upper back/shoulder blade area or my shoulders. They are flexible even when completely frozen. I use a lot of ice packs so the two pack was nice.

I love using these in the morning on my face

Bought these to help with rotator cuff repair surgery. The ice units freeze quickly and the cover is soft. The strap is pretty useless for a shoulder, upper arm, but I had two elastic bands with Velcro on the ends I was able to make work to hold the ice pack in place. These were a lifesaver. I was able to use ice instead of drugs for pain management and have been able to recover very quickly from the repair. The cold lasts almost 20 min which is at the limit for use. The case also will hold other ice bags (check the size which seems to be pretty standard).

I was hoping to find an ice pack that stayed softish when left in the freezer. That was what I was hoping for and why I gave it 3 stars. This gets as stiff as cardboard but does soften up in 10 minutes out of the freezer.

Use these a lot in the microwave. Love them!

Good quality and does the job.

The gel pouches and cover are well made. The cover and velcro strap hold the pouch securely and comfortably in place - using to ice ankle. I use it for 15-20 minutes at a time. If more time needed simply refresh with the second gel pouch.

I must've been hiding under a rock since my last injury but the last time I bought an ice pack i'm not even sure if Amazon was a thing. This pouch/velcro technology and the two ice packs were definitely not a thing back then or at the very least would've been incredibly expensive( don't be fooled at one point under the description area it says one icepack but it is two btw). This technology is wonderful, the velcro work's great and I have a fairly large male knee/ leg and it fits great, also wraps excellent. One of my favorite purchases in a long time for the best overall use and price point. Also the ice packs and purchase are both made of good strong materials and thze pouch insidd also being super thin so you feel your ice but it doesn't hurt. If you need an ice pack set up, look no further. Deserves a 5 star( I don't give those often, or review often for that matter but this package deserves recognition).
