Can this fan be used in full exterior?** A: I don't believe they are made to get wet at all. They work well but are cheaply constructed. They should be mounted where they won't get bumped as the base is weak. As another user mentioned, the switch is also a weak point. I have 4 of these on a boat. The swivel base has broken on two and was eliminated so the fans cant be turned side to side and the one that gets the most use has a worn out switch. It still works on two out of three speeds. Still, good luck finding another similar sized fan that moves as much air and has all the same features. **Q: Does Fan swivel to blow in either direction?** A: Yes it does very good quietest fan ever. have 2 in the bedroom of my motor home love them. Best part wife loves them . I installed this in my converted Ford Transit camper in 2020.I’ve liked this fan. It doesn’t use a lot of energy to run, which is important in a van build. It has good power and at high speed puts out a ton of air although it is somewhat noisy inside the confines of a van. It has held up well except for the mounting bracket. After 5 years, the bracket that screws into whatever mounting surface you’re using (wood cabinets in my case) fractured and broke. I’m trying to find out if I can replace just the mounting bracket because the fan is otherwise in good condition. I think these fans may be better suited to boats (which is what they’re made for) than the type of constant vibration they experience in a motor vehicle.
