I wanted to use a high quality microphone with my laptop, but retain the ability to monitor the audio with my headphones. Since my Acer Nitro 5 laptop only has a combination port for both mic and headphones, this handy little adapter facilitated my needs. Perfect solution!

Just what I needed
I wanted to connect a headset with separate 1/8" stereo plugs to a laptop but the laptop had a jack with four connectors. This worked as advertised and there were no problems.

Works as advertised. Nothing to make me think it is more than average (except maybe in today's marketplace actually doing the thing you say you do is becoming the exception). If I needed another I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again from this vendor.

Works as intended
Had an old headset that required a separate mic and stereo port but only had the combo on my laptop. This works great and is a good price. Seems pretty durable with the braided cables and haven't had my mic or sound quality suffer.

zero stars- mic port didnt work at all
the headphone port worked fine but the mic port didnt, it recorded a weird beeping noise and i tried everything to troubleshoot but it is the adapter that came defective.

Works fine with a cheap headset. The headset used has a jack for a mic and a jack speaker jack with a usb option. Works perfectly.
