Is this white white or tan

The sand looks more white than tan to me. I really like the way it looks in my little 5 gal. Betta aquarium with live plants and my little fella "Finn" who is dark red. Very nice.

How many pounds is recommended for a 10 gallon tank?

I ordered 5 lbs. for my five gallon tank and it barely covered the bottom. It's really nice sand and I would order it again.
