Great
My 9 year old son had a fascination with countries and flags. Thought i would get him this for his bday. He loves it. He likes to sit on the night having a look through and learning about what colour the flags are.

A must for every kid in the world!
Can’t recommend it enough, Both my niece (2YO) and daughter (3YO) love this book as it’s so easy for them to understand from other countries with really engaging drawings! I keep buying it as a gift for friends and family and they all love it, their kids get curious about other cultures in their very own way.

Ethnocentric Atlas
After spending much time researching children's atlases I finally settled on this one as it seemed to be the most comprehensive and I liked the illustrations. I received it today only to find that the majority of the 66 countries represented are ethnically white, Western countries. In the table of contents you can see that nearly all of North America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Oceania have a place in this publication. However most of Africa (the world's second largest continent AND the continent with most countries) and the Middle East have been ommitted. 25% of world's population is Muslim and yet there is no Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam. No Central Asia either for that matter. I was looking forward to enjoying this book with my 6yo to pore over the maps of all the countries he he identifies with thanks to his mixed heritage, however we won't be able to do that with this book. It's now on its way back to Amazon.

Lovely book , shame about the missing countries
The authors put in Poland ,Croatia but no Ukraine seems a bit odd . I think if you are doing a Atlas it should include all countries not just totally miss them out all together

Poche parole per questo atlante. Rivolto ad un pubblico giovane ma altrettanto interessaer gli adulti. Non vi pentirete di avere un libro del genere nella vostra libreria. FANTASTICO

Without question my 6-year-old's favorite book. He literally re-reads the whole thing every day. It helps that many of the animals featured in Wild Kratts match up with animals on the maps. He does wish they would make a version for every country. He is sad Colombia isn't in there, and Luxembourg. But still, there is a good selection of countries from around the globe, with illustrations that make him want to learn more. We homeschool and it's an excellent material for that reason.

This has been one of our best homeschool purchases and we use it all the time as we learn about history, geography and geology. It’s beautifully illustrated and so well done! Our kids love finding new landmarks, animals and plants and then continue learning about things they pick out of this book. It’s a fantastic resource for all our learning, a great atlas for young students to get acquainted with the world and a wonderful tool for visual learners!
