This are forgiving in size and if you gain a few pounds the still fit and are comfortable. They are not like victoria secret, were a size 6 is actuallly a 51/2. I take a size 6 in haynes coton under wear and a 6 in these ifthat helps. The edges are soft and stay were they are supos to without being too tight. They are very comfotable. I really like them **Q: Are these as low rise as they appear in the pictures? I absolutely love the fabric, and it doesn't leave visible panty lines. The only downside to these specific panties is that when you wear them a lot, eventually they will fall apart. You just have to make sure that if you machine wash, you put it on the gentle cycle and you let them air dry. Do not put them in the dryer. When you put them in the dryer they will fall apart fast. But they are so comfortable that for me at least it's worth the risk. They seem to be cut just a little bit wider in the back but by no means are they "granny panties".They are incredibly soft, and because they are made with a stretchy material, the waist band and leg bands are essentially made from the same material, not elastic. I like that because it isn't too tight or pinchy around the legs and waist. I would say basically that I feel like I am not wearing any undergarments when I wear these.I am writing this review a few months after I purchased these- they have held up well in the wash. I was them on regular (not delicate) and they come out just fine. They haven't lost any stretch and there is no piling on them.I don't buy these for the "No VPL" part as I don't worry about that.
