This bow if perfect for teaching children (12yrs and older) how to use a bow. It is not a re-curve, or a compound bow, but the principles of archery are the same. But yeah that’s ok. My son (4yrs old) was using a 12lb bow for two weeks and we thought to move up. We tried Bear Apprentice and Barnet’s Wildhawk but the draw was heavy. Bear’s spark draw was too low. But he was able to draw Bear’s Wizard easy though not the full draw. But yes in three/ two weeks he should be . Perfect bow for Teens, petite adults , backyard archery and beginners too.
