Review: ZINT MADE ME HAPPILY SWITCH FROM GREAT LAKES! - I was (the keyword being "was") using Great Lakes collagen hydrolysate for about 3 years. I recently found out about Zint as a result of someone posting about how great it was in a Facebook group that I'm a member of. I'm very particular about certain products; especially those that I use as supplements so I was initially a little wary about spending money to give it a try. However, I did my research before I decided to try Zint and I'm so glad I did. I found that: 1) Zint is a kosher certified (that's important to me), non-GMO (that's also important to me) supplemental product that comes from organic fed, pasture-raised cows and has NO hormones and NO preservatives just like the Great Lakes brand that I had been previously using, 2) Also like Great Lakes, Zint is absolutely tasteless and easily dissolves in cold or hot liquids making it perfect for blending into whatever I'm drinking or eating. In fact, Zint seems to be comparable to Great Lakes in every way except for the price. Zint is significantly cheaper which makes me happy. Oh, and it also comes in a bag instead of a can with a pour spout like Great Lakes. That’s not a problem at all for me; especially when I am saving money for an equally excellent product. Now for those of you who may have heard about collagen but weren't really sure what it was or if you needed it, this is not a scientific assessment, but if you're over 30 you probably do. If you smoke, use chemicals on your hair or nails, you probably do. If you're overweight, you probably need collagen. If you have arthritis, joint pain, dry or “crepey” (i.e., wrinkled) skin, you definitely need to use collagen hydrolysate as a supplement. You may see some advertisements for skin care products containing collagen. Don't waste your money. Collagen is best taken internally. For example, I was visiting my sister and her husband had been complaining about his knees bothering him. I shared my collagen with him and I kid you not he started getting more flexibility and relief from the pain within a week! The health benefits that we're supposed to receive from our food are, too often, missing. Certainly "fast food" takes a toll on us but even when we're trying to eat healthy it’s a gamble. We’re often eating vegetables that are nutritionally imbalanced because they’re grown in soil depleted of nutrients and laden with pesticides and a lot of people simply can't afford to eat 100% organically grown or grass-fed meat. I encounter a lot of "young" people in their 20s and 30s who, although they look healthy, are complaining about arthritis and aching joints in addition to a host of other ailments like hair falling out and brittle nails. What's up with that? Collagen hydrolysate provides us with the amino acids for protein that are essential to the maintenance of our bodies. It may seem mundane but when collagen isn't sufficiently supplied to your body it's like trying to continuously drive a car without oil; eventually it comes to a grinding halt. Collagen is basically the same product found in our bones, skin, and cartilage. Collagen needs to be provided to the body to help sustain bones, skin, and cartilage. A lot of our ancestors used to get their fix of collagen naturally with tasty bone broth, roasted bone marrow, stewed chicken and pig feet, oxtails, etc. And before you think or say, "Ewww!", just realize that they weren't in pain from uncooperative joints in their prime years the way a lot of us are. However, if you're averse to cooking animal parts every week or find that you can't eat enough of them to make a difference, get your collagen the quick and easy way. BOTTOMLINE:I find that when I supplement my diet with collagen hydrolysate I feel better and I look better so I’d rather use that than questionable pharmaceutical products (or even prescription meds) that often don’t work as well and are much more expensive. And when I supplement my diet with Zint collagen even my bank account looks better! Zint saves me money on a great product so I've made the switch!
Review: Great Product, nonGMO, which is important to me. - I have tried other collagen supplement products, but the others were in capsule form, so they had to be swallowed individually. In comparison, it's much easier to mix Zint powder with my morning coffee and at the same time, increase my intake amount. With the Zint powder, I use about 1 Tbsp to 1.5 Tbsp per 10 Oz coffee mug. I never have a problem with dissolving any amount. I never tasted any difference, which I was surprised with back when I 1st tried this product back in February of 2016. I do find myself very picky with tastes & textures, so the lack of affecting my coffee''s flavor is phenomenal! Lol The one thing I keep on mind when ordering from the desertcart site, is the seller. Because the same products can be sold by different entities or "virtual" stores, I find it very important to add the seller info when rating the products, so that the product isn't counterfeit or tampered with. Sometimes people post such vastly different reviews but this maybe due to the seller's part. In this case, I've always made ordered Zint from Zint USA or Zint. I have been using this product faithfully since February, as mentioned above, and I do plan on posting updates on its effects. Products like these take time for the body to absorb & use in the proper form. Because this product should aid in hair, nails, & joints. . I want enough time for the hair & nails to grow out. I have, however, seen less breakage in my hair... just waiting to see if it grows in thicker. My joints tend to ache more in the winter months, so that's another reason why I plan to update in the future. ***UPDATE*** 3-23-17 Well since using, I can say I've had less joint pain, to where it's getting rarer for me to be in pain. I've gone this whole winter with very few days I'm in pain & those days aren't as painful as in the past. My hair seems to be thicker, which is awesome. It's as thick or thicker than when I was a teen. My nails don't seem to chip as much either. I'm a mechanic so I'm always working with my hands. My nails rarely ever break staight out but more split in layers (like a nail polish chip) & become flimsy... that's what I mean about chipping. It's almost rare now. With the skin, I can't say I've seen a direct improvement with just the Collagen. It was more when I started using Black Castor Oil for moisturizing & a diluted form of Apple Cider Vinegar with Essential Oils as an astringent for the last couple months, when I experienced clearer & more supple skin. I try to use only 1 product at a time for proof of effectiveness but in this case, with my skin & complexion, I was getting impatient. I apologize for that. I'mean going to continue using as stated in my original review just because of the improvements with joint pain alone. It doesn't cost that much & I see more benefit than harm or waste at this point.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I have a question about this collagen hydrolasate. What is the difference with this product by Zint compared to their gelatin powder?**
A: Thanks for your question.Gelatin is simple cooked collagen, dried into a powder - while Hydrolyzed Collagen takes it a step further in processing. Hydrolyzed Collagen will break the bonds between the amino acids, some people will find Hydrolyzed Collagen easier to digest, since the amino acids are broken down. However, the health benefits are equivalent on both. In terms of use, Gelatin will form a gel when mixed with water, Hydrolyzed Collagen will not form a gel in water. Gelatin will not dissolve in cold water, versus Hydrolyzed Collagen that will dissolve in cold water. Paul G. - Zint

**Q: Are the animals pasture-raised AND pasture-finished?**
A: Hi, We source our raw material from cattle that are pasture raised in Brazil on 100% organic grassland, and they NEVER see a feedlot, like the majority of cattle in that country. So, yes, I can confirm that it is indeed pasture raised and finished as well. Thanks Paul G. - Zint

**Q: I see that some people are doing 2 tablespoons twice a day, how much can you increase the amount? Trying to help more hair growth.**
A: I take the recommended amount, twice a day. I had bald spots from a medication I take (Lamictal.) I've seen a huge difference! I also have a healthy diet with Omegavia fish oil capsules. I also try to reduce stress. I don't know if it's the combination or the Zint alone but my hair is thicker, longer and healthier. It's the hair I had in high school! But it's taken about six months to see these results.

**Q: What type of collagen is in this product? 1 and 3 or 2**
A: Thanks for your question. Our collagen contains type I and IIIThanks Paul G. - Zint

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this product!
*by T***T on May 31, 2016*

I love this product. I put it in my coffee instead of creamer for a protein boost. This brand is high quality, and less expensive than others. There is no taste and it dissolves easily in my coffee. Update: after using this product for six months, my eyelashes are noticeably longer and fuller, and my nails are a LOT stronger. My nails have always been weak and thin, but now they are so strong, I have trouble clipping them. 😳 My skin is smoother too, but I switched skincare, so I can't be sure which one is responsible. Update: I recently moved to a different state. It was easier to drink regular coffee without the Collagen in it, so I packed it up, and the collagen went to storage with the rest of my pantry. At first I didn't make the connection, but my skin seemed to age over the two months that I was without it. My nails were brittle too. Thank goodness, my eyelashes didn't suffer (they're still nice and thick). After we moved into the new house, I started putting the collagen in my coffee again. First, let me say, although this doesn't add a taste, it does add a slight creaminess to the coffee. Ahhhh, I missed it! I was still thinking the skin and nail problem was due to stress, until I saw improvement when I renewed my coffee regimen. It has only been a few weeks, so I still have a way to go. I am looking forward to getting back the skin and nails that I had before the move.
