Perfect Door Bell
Works perfectly and no wires!

Works great
Could never tell when someone was at the door. This was easy to install and really loud. In fact I turned the volume down quite a bit. Had to work a little setting the chiming unit so it worked for both front and back door. Tried several different outlets and finally got one that received the signal for both buttons. Happy with the unit and recommend it to anyone who wants a door bell with almost no installation labor. Oh, the westminster chime goes on for quite a while so I just set it for the single and double bing bong type chimes.

CHECK YOUR PRODUCT CAREFULLY FOR CORRECT MODEL # ORDERED
This product is easy to install and works well. HOWEVER, beware of this seller. My receipt shows I ordered model # SL-6167-C. After I installed it and was filling out the warranty information, I noticed the package says I was sent model # SL-7367-04. So although the mfr gives a 1-yr warranty, I now have NO proof of purchase, as the receipt does not match the item. :(

Great wireless doorbell
Had an addition put on my house. Weeks later we noticed the electrician forgot to wire up the doorbell button. He had extended the wire, just forgot to put up the button. Then the siding was put on & the location of the wires was lost. So instead of ripping off the siding until the wiring was located, I decided to use a wireless doorbell. I actually touched the "one-click ordering" by mistake on this set-up while I was looking for what was available. But instead of trying to cancel the order, I thought I'd give it a try. I wasn't expecting much at $25.00 but I like Heath/zenith products. Well, to my surprise this is a really great wireless doorbell. The inside ringer part plugs into a wall socket, so no batteries...Great! The outside button though uses a tiny A23 battery ( like a 1/2 AAA battery). The insert states the battery should last 2years? But as far as it functioning, I don't think you could find a place outside the house that the button wouldnt activate the chime. The chime is Very loud when the volumn turned to Max. The button can be screwed in place or you can use the double sided tape that's supplied with the bell/chime. All in all, I'm am very pleased. I'm glad I ordered it by mistake & that I didn't cancel the order. So if you find yourself in a situation like I was in, or if you just want to add a doorbell/chime & don't want to have to deal with an electrician ( or do it yourself), I highly recommend this set up. In less that 5 minutes, I had a doorbell on my back door again. And it sounds GREAT....I love the Westminster chimes! The Dog & the Cats hates it?

Works when you plug the door chime in, but not when you press the door bell button :(
This doorbell only worked for about 2 months before it stopped chiming. Fortunately, we have the old, battery-operated Zenith model lying around in the basement. This one still rings (and I can hear it from the main house) when someone pushes the button. I can't imagine how old those batteries are. Otherwise, I'd be in a bigger hurry to replace it. The thing is, I know the plug-in door chime works because one morning we lost power at 5am, and when the power came back on, the doorbell chimed (scaring me enough to keep me up the rest of the morning). If you unplug the unit and plug it back in, it does chime. It just doesn't chime if someone rings the bell.

DOES work with older Heath/Zenith doorbells but the documentation is severely lacking
One star taken off for the mediocre documentation. This does actually work with my older Heath/Zenith doorbells, just took some extra searching to figure it out. Background : I have a SL-6266-RX-A and a 6180-RZ-A (picture attached for the latter). Both were setup to jumpers 5/6/7 and my old doorbell (SL-6194-TX, with the A23 battery) was the same. The doorbell, after twenty or so years of use, finally gave out on me so I purchased this SL-6167-C on Amazon, mainly for the two doorbells themselves and could they work with my older chimes. These doorbells have CR2032 batteries, but no jumpers outside of the chime type (so, the equivalent of jumper 8 on my old doorbell). First off, the doorbell base / chimer for this is vastly inferior to my old ones - not particularly loud and a bit tinny (I wasn't really planning to use it anyway). So onto my two old chimes and....neither worked. I figured maybe I needed to fiddle with the jumpers but the documentation doesn't mention that at all and what I should try. Luckily I found a review for another doorbell-only here, so passing on -- I removed jumpers 5/6/7 on my old chimes, used jumpers 1 and 2 only instead, reset the doorbell (removing the battery, inserting the battery and holding for 5-7 seconds) and viola! They both work! [OCT 2025 EDIT] So this works....for awhile. Found that this eventually stops working although it could have been a dead battery on my part. So had to 1) remove old battery 2) add new battery 3) hold 5-7 seconds and then so far working again.

Initial manufacturing problem, once overcome, works as advertised.
Great for front and back door. They should have made both buttons able to select ring pattern instead of limiting one to a default single ring; at least it should of had a double ring so you can hear it better. Manufacturing problem discovered when the first buttons didn't work with the shorting bar and they sent me new ones. The new ones didn't work either and I discovered there was no metal in the shorting bars. I talked with a rep. and explained the issue; she said she would notify quality control. I had a shorting bar from my work inventory, used it and everything worked fine.
