ok sealant - still leaks after repair using this sealant
Used this sealant when replacing valve cover gaskets on V6 engine. New gaskets were silicone and formed specifically for my specific engine. After repair, one valve cover still leaks engine oil slightly even though I put a sufficient amount of this sealant. It certainly leaks a lot less when compared to before the repair job but I am disappointed this sealant did not completely prevent leaks. Does not stick to clean metal surfaces at all. This will make cleanup easy the next time I replace the gaskets but I wonder if this is also why it still leaks a little.
