It is barely bigger than a bar of soap when you first take it out of the package. It probably WOULD help keep yousomewhat warm (especially keeping your breath up near your face) - - perhaps as a liner under a real hat (like a cowboy hat or a safari hat)... but it is not at all what I was hoping it would be, and not at all what I want. I did find a FLEECE Balaclava mask from a different seller, and it IS what I was looking for.
