Tanika Lynch deserves a standing ovation for this captivating tale of misery that engulfs you and pulls you through the wringer with the central character, a young abused teenager named Kamone. Kamone has suffered just about any type of abuse you can imagine but holds true to her lifelong love for her siblings to fight until the very end to assure their well being and safety. She will pull at your heartstings making it skip a few beats, you will become breathless, matter of fact, you will have to put the book down a couple of times to get yourself together. That's just how good this book is!Tanika's story seems like one of the bunch, but, I assure you the journey she takes you on will be one of the most memorable ones that you will ever have the privilege of traveling.Tanika Lynch most definitely deserves 10 stars for this wonderful literary piece of art! I applaud you Ms. Lynch and will mos def be in line for your future endeavors!!!!!!! Your light is shining! Many blessings to you and yours!

I loveddd this book sbbbbb!!!! I read it once when I was younger and revisted, so glad I did! I could not put it down LITERALLY, and I cried like a baby!! It’s a lil wild so brace yourself, but I love a good full circle!

I thought I was not going to get into the book but was I wrong. I could not stop reading it. I always stop where I wanted to know what was next, but dang was brittany a cold bitch or should she (respectfully)/he be a male whore(lol), he didn't have to do it like that. but who don't want to be the top whore(my goodness). The cop, was he something else and then something strange? The mom oh chile (smh)! I favor the ending though but she had to go through hell to get through it.

I couldn’t stop reading, you won’t regret purchasing this book! It has a beautiful message that I think everyone needs especially in times of distress.

I read this book years ago, and I must say that reading it now is different for me. Goes to show how your view changes as you get older. I still liked the book. In fact, I like to read it over sometimes. Kamone had so much bad luck with her pretty self. Her man and her were so good for one another, but she was too young. I don't know why the author didn't allow her to age a little. But it was good, but perhaps a little over the top. That author must have a vivid imagination.

This is a very good book. I hooks you from the very first page and holds you captive until the end. Kamone has a very hard time trying to raise her bother and sister in a slum-getto environment. Her mother Suga is not worth the gum on the bottom of your shoes, but her children still love her. Lucci is a thug with a heart that you fall in love with because he had a hard time with a mind blowing experience that he had as a kid. I wished that Kamone was a little older in the book, but it did not stop the love and the respect that you felt for her with her stuggles of trying to make it. I will buy more books of Tanike L.

I didn't want this book to end. I read this in one sitting and it's been years since a book has taken me over like this one has. Well done Ms. Lynch!!!!🌝
