Sturdy, easy assembly and good price!
I recently purchased this umbrella stand to use in my veggie garden. I was skeptical at first thinking it was not going to be heavy enough to hold the umbrella. But the composite material is much heavier than I anticipated. The design is simple but attractive with a scrolled metal look. Easy to put together and it took less than 5-10 minutes to have it put togther completely. There are different inserts to hold the umbrella pole based on the size and the tightening knob holds it firmly in place. If you are looking for an eye-pleasing, heavy umbrella stand this is it!

Worth the price
You may be doubting this because of the price, cause i definitely did, but after receiving it and seeing how good the details are and how heavy it is I can say that it’s a great product. It’s heavy, sturdy, so easy to assemble, the size is perfect and after a full year, still looks exactly the same as it did on day one.

Stayed put during a storm!
I just set this up a couple days ago. We had a bit of an unexpected storm last night and the (open) umbrella itself blew off its pole into the neighbor's yard, but the base stayed put. It did loosen up a bit, but I didn't find my pliers to tighten the nut enough, so I expected that to happen sooner or later. Gotta find those pliers. And I guess I'd better duct tape the pole of the umbrella itself, which was purchased elsewhere. :) What I like so far: - I like the design. It should be easy to clean, and it looks good. - It's heavy enough to not blow away in wind gusts. Major test passed. - It seems like it should hold well without wobbling once I tighten it with pliers. The stabilizing pole is a good height and has adapters to fit different diameters of poles. - Good price point. Some of the bases I saw were triple the price of this one. Obviously I can't speak to its durability yet. But I anticipate at least a few years of use from this.

Heavy and sturdy base.
While the item is very nice and the base is sturdy, the piece that holds the umbrella is wobbly. The washer is tightly secured, but the holder still rocks. I am keeping it anyway because of the price.

Excellent patio umbrella stand. Durable and sturdy, and it looks great. A+++
The DC America Cast Stone Umbrella Base was an excellent purchase for me. It is made from rust free composite materials, and it has a bronze powder coated finish. The stand base is available in 18" or 24" diameters models. It is a bronze color cast stone. It is very heavy, and does a great job holding a patio umbrella in place even in very windy days. It hold 2" diameter poles, but it will also hold 1" or 1 1/2" diameter poles using the plastic insert. I definitely recommend this patio umbrella stand. It has held up fine under very strong rain storms and very windy weather. You want to make sure you close the umbrella shut to keep the wind from pulling the umbrella down or away. I have left the umbrella open several times during a rain storm, and it definitely jostles the umbrella very harshly. But, it has survived and the open umbrella has stayed and stood upright and fine. You should still close the patio umbrella if there is a storm or windy weather for safety and for protection of your property.. This is an excellent patio umbrella stand. Amazon has it at a good price. If you have Amazon Prime, the 2-day Free shipping is very nice especially because this item weighs so much. This patio umbrella stand works great, and it looks great too.

Looks very nice
I have bought 2 of these. They are very nice looking, however they are not heavy and flip over easily with an umbrella attached. I had to put extra weight around them so that they don’t blow over every time the wind blows. On one of them I can see some cracking already, I’m not sure if it’s from it being blown over or from the umbrella moving in the wind. You can’t really get a good tight grip on the umbrella shaft with the one small screw on the bottom side and the screw is starting to rust after 1 month. I think it would be a better product if it was heavier and for the price I definitely wouldn’t recommend it, unless you’re using it in a no wind zone.
