A couple of activities are more for 3 to 5 than for 5 to 6 yr old children -like the tracing activities of various lines... and, oddly enough, the tracing of the first 5 letters of the alphabet though, odly enough, there was no other page for the other lettes of the alphabet. Mazes and puzzles are fine. On the whole, it did keep a 5 yr old busy.

I found my boy had an amazing ability to see the solution to a maze and other similar puzzles...so I bought this to try him out with it. Most he got right first time seeing the solution before putting pencils to them... saying that some are a challenge and not to be underestimated. It wasn't a waste because you don't know a child's ability to learn unless you provide him with the means to explore and broaden his mind. Worth considering purchasing this.

This activity book has been a great fit for our 5 year old. She enjoys the mazes, puzzles and simple math activities and it has helped support her reading and learning skills since she is in SK. The activities feel engaging and keep her interested without needing constant help, except for reading some words. Some sections may feel easy for kids who are already comfortable with letters, numbers and basic reading. At 5 it works well with light guidance and by 6 many kids could likely complete most activities on their own with ease. The variety keeps it from feeling repetitive and makes it easy to come back to over multiple sessions. Overall, a solid learning activity book for ages five to six. I would recommend it for kids building confidence with early reading, problem solving and basic math skills.

It’s one of the best books to carry on travel or to b used in any leisure hours.. it’s a brain teaser and a good one. Kid will find it interesting
