Plus it is big, heavy and expansive lense. I would recommend Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED (roughly 24-70 equivalent), which designed for APS-c body. That being said, if you have the plan to migrate to full-frame body. You can buy this lens, but I still recommend something else: Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Lens for Nikon F, with half the price, you get pretty much same image quality.
