3kg DIPOXY-2K-700 Epoxy Resin and Hardener 2K EP Laminating Clear Cast UV res. DIPOXY-2K-700 Wooden Table Base Aquarium Terra Construction

I'm no expert on resins and recently paid a lot more for one that everyone recommemded but it was nothing special. Spotted this one, had good reveiws so wemt for it. I can honestly say this is my favorite resin from the dozen or so brands I've tried so far. When I poured part A I was a little concerned as in the cup it looked like it had a slight yellow hint to it and my heart sank. BUT I needn't have worried, my finished peices have come out perfectly. What surprised me was how well it mixed. Firstly it where were all the bubbles I normally get????? It just didnt happen, I mean honestly, what sourcery is used to make this stuff? I only got a fraction of the usual bubbles but once I let it sit for a little while it degassed just great. It also mixed up in half the time of my other brands too. I was stupid enough to add heat to the 1st batch (which I always do with my other resins) and this one flash cured on me but the 2nd batch I mixed I didn't add heat and it worked perfectly. The skull in the video cured super quick too, I went out, came back 5 hours later and couldn't believe it, it's mid April and my heating dining room temp is 18oC. My other resins would have needed at least 12-24 hours. I seriously don't have a negative thing to say. It comes straight from the German manufacturer so no retailer profits added on. 3L for this price I didn't expect the quality. Fantastic resin and the only one I'm gonna buy from now on 10/10.

This resin is really great to use, and the size is incredible for the price you pay. I have made a lot of things using it and they've all turned out great. I find that I need just a touch more hardener than the 2:1 ratio, but it works great! Its a two part epoxy so pretty simple to use, though make sure to wear gloves and a respirator at the very least. There's no odour, but the fumes can be dangerous. Bubbles are easy to remove and it takes pigment beautifully.

It's great. I've bought this 3 times now and just bought the 6kg one. Considering it's now worth getting and costs less in the long run. It's so easy to use and as long as you follow the ratio guidelines, these should be no issue.

I was very sceptical of this purchase, as I like to only get the best products for @newbea_ however I thought I’d give his resin a go. When it arrived I was concerned as the resin was below the line in the bottle which implied some may have spilled on the journey, however there was no signs of leakages on the remainder packaging. I was also concerned as the reviews displayed a ‘yellow tone’ to the resin, which can be seen from the first photo of the bottle. I thought regardless to give this product a go and make some items, I was certainly not disappointed. My items came out clear with no yellow tones and cured overnight which is ideal for fast working!! However, it began curing a little too fast and was very thick to place in to the moulds, causing bubbles in some of my products. It also gave my items a slightly dull colouring which can be easily fixed with some simple polishing. Overall I’d certainly recommend this product, just be wary of the minor flaws.

Very pleased with this resin so far. Been using it for a 'stitch and glue' canoe build and it seems to set really tough. I have only used Polyester resin before and this is a bit harder to work with for me. Mixing by weight meant I had to buy a set of cheap kitchen type electronic scales which works well. As others have noted the containers do make pouring a tad difficult to achieve without spills. Very 'runny' and slow setting time means you tend to get runs appearing on any surface which has a 'downhill' angle. Can be sanded but is quite a bit more work. My hope is that it will make a really strong craft- time will tell.

I liked the ease of use of this resin, low on bubbles, plenty of time to work with, but there's one thing I didn't like. I do clear casting items, and for that I need a resin that doesn't yellow. This resin has yellowed in every piece I have made so far, not quick, but afte 1 month (or even less) it has a yellow tinge to it and it looks bad(in my opinion). The yellowing factor isn't really strong, so you might not notice it, but I did because I am used to Cristal clear castings. When I used colorants as mica or alcohol inks there wasn't any change in colour, not that I could notice anyway, but the clear creations I made are slightly yellow without any colorant added, after a month or so. To me this was a bad experience overall, because I was planning on selling the items I made and here I am with yellow products meant to be clear, basically with a waste of product and money. The picture added is from my most recent casting, which was 10 days ago...

It works very well, however it aggravated my skin and I ended up with a rash in the T-Zone area. I do have eczema, so that may of been a factor, just be careful, keep away from under the face while mixing in a well ventilated area. Good results though.
