This was my first speed rope I ever bought and it was a great purchase! It lasted me for YEARS, and the added bonus that it came with a replacement wire made it last even longer! You do have to occasionally check the locking mechanism as sometimes it would come a bit loose. A few times the wire and handle came apart while I was using it, but thankfully I was indoors so I was able to relocate the screws, but it could have potentially been very dangerous as the wire rope went flying. The rope is very lightweight, and was a good rope to learn double unders with, although I would recommend a different rope if that’s what you’re exclusively looking to accomplish. Overall, good value for the money.

I ordered several of these for me and some of my students..... after having the spealler rope (sp), and what I have noticed is that the gauge of wire is a little thicker. This in turn is a little tougher for longer duration's. I can do 100 Double unders unbroken with the spealler rope but start having troubles after the 50 mark with this rope. It wears me out sooner. The screw piece needs to be securely seated too for I have had two people jettison theirs in the middle of double unders. Overall I think its a durable rope and would recommend it for the first time user because its easier to get the feel of wrist action do to the rope being heavier. If you are an experienced roper and use this for WODS i would recommend something else. I guess to each their own. One more nice thing that needs to be said is that you get an extra rope wire and screws.....I did not get this with other ropes that I have bought, so that is nice too. When learning it didn't take long to chew my first rope up so having an extra is super sweet!

Pros: - Lightweight, fast rope that will get you the double-unders you desire - Instructional videos make setting up your rope to your measurements easy and included helpful how-to exercise videos - Price, which includes extra hardware and a second rope - Colour options, bought green because I thought it would decrease the chance of it being stolen (still hasn't been stolen) Cons: - The cable is good quality and therefore will leave bruises on shins and triceps when you're first learning to do double-unders - Plastic handles are cheaper than other models I've tried but haven't broken after over 5 months of use - Small silicone pieces meant to keep the handles near the ends of the rope tend to slide toward the middle of the rope which can cause the rope to shorten while in use Overall: I went from never having done a double-under to cranking out 30 in one month with this rope. Highly recommend this product based on the quality, helpful videos, and extra hardware they provide. Thank you WOD Nation.
