does it work with rv fridge that uses both electricity and propane?

If it fits. It’s just a contact operated by temperature/pressure from the sensing tube.

Will this work as a replacement for wfp17a?

No. I would not cross replacement numbers. Stay with the original part.

Will this work on a 12 volt Adler Barbour marine fridge ?

If the appearance of your original thermostat looks similar with ours item and they have the same terminals, you could buy one to try, there is a high probability that they are compatible.

how do you install the sensor tube?

The sensor tube needs to be carefully opened and bent to suit the freezer thermostat installation. In my case, the tube had to be secured to a metal block that is attached to the cooling coil inside the freezer. Unfortunately, this thermostat did not work in my freezer as it was not an OEM spec. So I had to return it
