GARDENA CANADA 8009 Wall Mount Hose Reel with Hose

Ran a small biz out of a bedroom using this. Worked excellent.

All Gardena products are excellent. As a 110 lb. woman I can't handle a big hose holder and hose, not strong enough. This one along with the Gardena hose I can take anywhere. With the light weight hose it rolls up in a minute. I did need help putting it together, holding the stand in place while screwing to the holder. Love all the attachments too, they do everything with a snap on, no screwing, just snap. The products are made well and will last a lifetime if taken care of properly.

Poor packaging, I received my order and It was packed in a big box. To big for the product and it was not properly packaged, during handling the hose and reel moved around and not being protected at all. When i opened the box i immediately inspected as i knew something could have broken during delivering and handling. And to my surprise, yes it had been damaged and broken. The handle to reel in the hose was cracked. Luckily it was not to bad. But still it will brake and wont function later on. If they would have packaged it been and appropriate box size, it would have prevented damae. Inspect product carefully. Everything else was fine, and i tested it. Is nice and does the job, just a matter of time till the hanlde breaks off.

Design and craftsmanship are outstanding and we are about to buy our second one for the other outside tap. The hose is lightweight and thin, making it a breeze to roll it up. Water throughput is the same as with any other hose I had. The Gardena click system is very useful for changing attachment such as sprinklers.

It works very well. This is the only hose reel that I have found that has the handle that does not pull at my skin when I am rolling up the hose.

An otherwise nice Gardenia hose reel set, but it was advertised as including a 5 foot leader hose and no leader hose was included. Very disappointing for the price point.

As some people have said this system can be a little fragile. Mine came apart as soon as the weather got really hot, over 90F in the sun. The fittings expanded and the hose material got softer which allowed water pressure to blow it apart. However, it is very easy to put back together and tighten up. When the weather cools, I'll bet it never pulls apart as it will shrink more tightly together. It hasn't leaked or come apart since I tightened everything up. The benefit is that it is very light weight to move around my garden. It's isn't designed to be high pressure for blowing dirt off a truck or pressure washing a patio. It's for gently watering a garden or sprinkling a small yard. And, it's a "snap" to change your spraying heads to the sprinkler. I use it more like continuous filling watering can.

This is a fantastic product (high quality and well thought out design and easy to put together) BUT! It says it holds over 100 feet of 1/2 inch hose. Turns out all standard garden hoses are 5/8 inches, and it only holds about 45 feet of regular hose. So, it doesn’t work with even a 50ft. hose. Why would you have misleading advertising? Why wouldn’t you just say the amount of regular garden hose it holds instead of trying to tell us how much of a no -standard, hard to find hose it holds. It even comes with the end connection for 5/8” hose showing it was designed for a normal hose. So, stop trying to mislead us about what it holds! If the ad was honest, I just would have gotten a bigger one.

Perfect size hose reel for me for hooking up to pressure washer. Good quality stand/reel and the hose itself feels to be of good quality. Would recommend.

Not the cheapest option but always worth the extra investment. Much better quality fit, longevity and feel than other brands. The hose is very good at resisting kinks and it was easy to assemble. Very easy to wind up and feels quality
